  1. Well, it has been awhile since the 91 has just been sitting in the drive and can't go anywhere. But today I finally got my decals from Spencer, not his fault, mine. I took forever to order em. Anyways, it looks great. Black MJ with reflective white decals. I am going to take some more pics tonight once it gets dark, then I will post em. You all loved this thing before, but now this gives you more reason to love her again. Alex
  2. Oh no worries there. I'm going to be fixing it up for him with por-15 then rhino lining the bottom 3/4 of the truck from front to back. Alex
  3. Here is the truck I was looking at. My friend ended up buying it as I mentioned he might. Image Not Found Image Not Found I looked it over once he got it to our house, and the only other truck I have seen this rust free was my 86 MJ. The ONLY rust on this thing is the drivers side cab corner, and that is just surface. I checked this thing over everywhere and there isnt a dot elsewhere. He got one hell of a find for only 5500. I found an '03 Eclipse for 11k. Silver, 4cyl, 4 speed auto-manual tranny. 65k miles, and in great shape. even if it is silver, I'm takin what i can get. Alex
  4. Well I got bored today and started looking at a whole bunch of different cars on the Fueleconomy.gov site. The GMC gets about the same as my 91 if it was a 1500, but its a 2500 so I am thinking it will do about the same or a tad less. So a friend of mine might buy it since my sister is going to buy his car for her first car. Which it is a '00 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4cyl auto, which it gets about 25 mpg. So I started to look at a bunch of other 4cyls around that year and most seem to do worse or just about the same as my 91. The 91 is running on premium, so gas price is the only difference. So what I am trying to say is that I am looking for a 99/00 style Eclipse for myself now. Black, 4cyl, auto, lower the miles the better, moon roof would be cool but not needed, not modified in any way, radio does not matter, and 5k or less would be nice as long as its in good shape. I can't stand huge rims and all that crap. i just need one stock that can get me from home to work and back. Needs to run on regular, since I know some of those required premium. So if anyone around Ohio or just over the border knows of any decent ones let me know. And links and pics are always welcomed. Anyone on here know much about these cars, or if there are any other cool looking 4cyls that get good mileage (25+ highway) and are old enough to be cheap enough but still in good shape? Alex
  5. Not lifted from what I can tell, not even sure if the tires are Super Swampers, just that style anyways. Looks like 31" tires. Seems like it was his baby and didn't get worked hard or taken off road at all. Which for me it would be a to and from work truck, and farm truck. The 91 would then become my project/off road warrior/show truck baby. Alex
  6. well my 91 gets around 22mpg average on premium, idk regular cuz it sucks it down. and if i did get a 4cyl it would be a 2wd road only truck. the GMC is very well maintained, almost show quality. has 144k miles, rebuilt tranny at 113k miles, rebuilt injection pump at 123k miles. 4x4 and it seemed like it has Super Swamper TSL style tires. new rear brakes and u-joints. 8 lug axles (if that means anything). and it is in the Central Ohio 4x4 Club once i get off dial-up i will up load the pic of it have along with the pic of the info sheet he had in it. Alex
  7. Well the 91 is burning oil bad. As in a constant blue smoke cloud. It isn't as bad since I switched it over to full synthetic valvoline maxlife and HD fram filter, but its still bad enough to tell me the rings are shot. As of right now I don't have the money to get it "fixed" (stroker it). So I am looking for a vehicle to drive till I get it fixed, and keep after that for mileage or as a better replacement for the K-10 farm truck. I found a 92 GMC 2500 ext. cab with the 6.2L diesel, auto, power everything, the works. great shape with hardly any rust. asking 5500 obo. or should I look for a 4cyl jeep xj/mj? not sure what the better deal would be here. I know nothing about the 6.2 diesel, so if anyone on here can give me some info on mileage, power, reliability, longevity it would help alot. Alex
  8. this is true, but with no issues at all ever, its great for a car show. never on the highway though, man that was rough going from an 88 elim to an 86 X with the 2.8L. i couldn't pass at all. Alex
  9. yes, but the 86 is rubber mat free now, and in very good shape. wish i could say the same for the 91, its floor is about gone on both sides. lol. now the 86 i might get in a few years (family friend, only has 73k miles on it and NO rust) has been in a garage all its life, so i am willing to bet its still nice and blue under the carpet. heck, the 2.8 in it is still mint. Alex
  10. I think I'll buy Boardwalk with that first hours worth of pay and then gain money each time one of you land on it. lol. And I graduated last year actually. Turned 20 on Friday, April 13th this year. The farm was able to hold me over for awhile, but this year has been very bad for hay. Our farm doesn't get rain, yet just over the fence row it will rain. Got me on that one? So I have been driving the K-10 farm truck since it gets free gas off the farm. I am waiting on a new SSN card so I can get in at Whirlpool, I hope. But Bucyrus, Ohio is about the deadest town around. The only places we have to work are fast food places, which none are hiring. So my mom lives in Marion which is where Whirlpool is, so wish me luck. And as soon as I get off this stupid dial-up at my moms, and can download MSN, I will send ya an I'm Pat. Alex
  11. Well I have been gone for quite some time. My laptop I got to replace the one that got hit by lightning has had problems since I got it. Brand new HP Pavilion dv9030us. Made for gaming and the likes. But has had stupid issues since I got it. So I got sick of em and took it in to see if it could be fixed or, yet again, replaced. They couldn't find anything wrong, typical PC Repair place. I will never go to one again. Since it was so new of a PC HP and Microsoft was running a deal to upgrade to Vista for free, whichever copy was the best copy that this PC could handle. It can handle em all but since it was a home PC only I got Vista Home Premium for free, along with the driver cd from HP. At first I didn't want Vista because of all the bad rep, but I tell you what, it fixed all the issues this thing had from day one with XP still on it. I have had no problems with Vista, and mostly all I do is game. It runs Doom 3 on Ultra Rez with no problems, along with tons of other games. Only game I am having any issues with is WoW. I guess alot of people are having it though, something to do with the nVIDIA driver and Vista. My sound pops and crackles while playing WoW. So I am waiting on nVIDIA to fix their Vista driver. As for the MJ, it has been sitting in the drive since April 13th, my B-Day. I did not have the money for $65 tags, nor the 70-some for insurance. Only income I have right now is bailing hay, another reason I have not been on much. I am having no luck getting a real job around this crappy state in this crappy economy. But once I get one it is getting a TON of stuff done to it. As some of you may know, Pat (JeepcoMJ), is trading me a near mint bed, drivers side cab corner and rocker panel, along with a bunch of other interior parts for all the MJ/XJ parts I got from Rob when I bought the 91. Most the parts I did not need and have not been able to sell. So if anyone wants any, talk to Pat. There is an up-to-date list on my "Parts for sale or trade in Ohio" post. The very last list on the last page is complete. Also, when I finally got time to start it up awhile ago, my Yellow Top battery was as dead as could be. Wouldn't even tick. So I charged it, and it held. I did an oil change to it then, just really black, no metal shavings or anything. Which with it being a brand new just over 55k mile Jasper engine I would hope not. I switched to pure Synthetic Valvoline Max and a HD Fram oil filter. I also added 1qt Marvel Mystery Oil. I was hoping that with that combo it would help with the burning of oil it was doing so badly, it didn't. So this MJ will either get fixed up then sold, burn oil for a long time till I get money to turn it into a stroker, or sold as is. I will hate to see it go if it comes down to that, since it is a 91 4x4 Eliminator. But if my luck doesn't change soon job-wise, it's starting to look that way. Anyone wants to know anything else or rant and rave, have fun. I'm here till this club closes, with or without an MJ. I will always have my lifted farm K-10. And of course some other jeep at some point in time, MJ, J-truck, 4dr Rubi. Who knows. Later all. Alex
  12. yea meatbag, I'm sittin here talkin to bigdumbchevy on yahoo and i told him hes going against another CC member and the war is on. id like to have one for when i take my truck to shows. but I'm gettin one cheap if i ever get one. Alex
  13. well i didn't, and i am desperately looking for one now. great detail too. Alex
  14. just to show everyone, we already have two members fighting over it so i would say the nice thing to do is stay out of it. but I'm just nice to other MJ owners that way. here ya all go though. http://cgi.ebay.com/Jeep-Comanche-Launch-Commemorative-Medal-July-1-1985_W0QQitemZ190105403927QQihZ009QQcategoryZ35930QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Alex
  15. so in short, what we are all trying to say is... here's TO PETE AND HIS AWESOME IDEA FOR THE CC!! Alex
  16. Wildman - your parts list is on a cd? i have the real one that is a booklet that came from AMC. mine lists the decals and badges for all years pioneer. but as we know, you only got one or the other. wonder why the difference in parts lists? Alex
  17. well my 86 x had 3.73s so you might get lucky and yours might have that in it. but either way i say upgrade, upgrade, upgrade. Alex
  18. you beat me to it, i was going to say that EXACT thing. the back and forth sprinklers work ok but i like the ones that do the tic, tic, tic, tiiiiiiiic thing. stick that at one end of the truck at an angle up and it does good, has more pressure. then move it to the other end once that end is done. don't do the carwash thing unless its at night, the owners HATE us mud runners that do that. Alex
  19. thats what i do with the 91 Alex
  20. if i have the 91 back in business by then i might be willin to go again. i need a new sticker anyways and id rather get it there then just ordering one. Alex
  21. i remember the name. DA Sander, or Dual Action sander. they work great if you are just going to repaint it anyways. Alex
  22. wow you are that way too. but i have a pure chow that hates females and guards the house really well. and a malamute chow mix that is as sweet as can be. Alex
  23. if you are going to paint it once they come off anyways, a good a good air powered sander works fine. can't remember what type it is called, but the sanding disc stick onto the foam pad. about 7" round iirc. and i can't remember the name of it for anything. Alex
  24. that is what it was. you could get the decals or the badges, or both for the extra cash. but most just got one or the other. or this is what i learned from the dealer and my parts list and stuff. Alex
  25. man those fangs digging into you must not hurt at all either. shouldn't it also state to make sure your knife was not carried on your ankle/boot? Alex
