  1. I am running them in my MJ, They fit pretty well, but definitely not perfect. Doesn't interfere with anything though.

The one on the left looks like a Harley Sportster maybe? The other is a Yamaha V-Star Classic Can't really tell from that angle if it's 1100 or 650. I am gonna guess 1100.

A word of advice.... I used to run a Yamaha dealer for a few years, Don't go overboard on customizing that 650, It is a great bike to learn on, but in about a year you are going to be ready to step up to something with a little more umph. V-Star 1100, 1300 etc. You will definatly enjoy that machine I have no doubt, but the first time you try to take a longer highway trip you will see what I mean. Be safe wear your helmet (no matter how cool you think you look with out it, you will look like an idiot with a feeding tube) Watch out for the "other guy" people in 4 wheeled vehicles are all A$$ holes when you are on the bike. ENJOY!!!!!
  4. Ah. U B one of many, as I've seen on the Strokers forum. I used the Hesco RV-O-B w. the 1.6 intake and exhausts. 3 yrs later and all is well. Where is this stroker forum you are talking about? I am gearing up to build a hesco 4.7 but I would like to look at other options and potential snags.
  5. How did you do that!?!?!
  6. IF it is a tilt column you need to get new pivot bushings. no big deal.
  7. HOW DID I NOT SEE THAT AUCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headpop:
  8. I would like to out together an on board air setup in my MJ, But I want it to be engine driven. Is anybody running a homade OBA that is really working out well for them? I have been concidering getting a set of TJ brackets for the front of the engine to move things in such a way that I can fit a york compressor in there but I don't think that will fit under the hood. SHOW ME YOUR PICS!!!
  9. I am about to put a Hesco 4.7 together. Got the block and head the other day. I will be running the Renix injection, What size injectors would I want to use for that?
  10. WOW!!!! I like the yellow rig! DO you think the roll bar has enough support being mounted on top of the bed rails like that? It looks very smooth! gives you full use of the bed as well.

All I know is... If Hillary get's in, this country will have been run by the same two families for close to 30 years. Food for thought.

    Wanna race?

I have seen that before! That is one bad ride!
  13. If he uses a Leak down tester and uses it CORRECTLY he can definitively say weather or not the rings are shot. As for the head gasket, it is MUCH more likley that water will mix with the oil or that you can get overly high pressure in the cooling system due to combustion gases' building up in the system. There is a pretty easy check for that as well. A good professional mechanic should have a tester that tells you weather or not Carbon Monoxide is present in the coolant. I know that Snap-On sells one under the Blue-Point name. I have one and it has saved my but a few times on diagnosing potential Headgasket problems. I would definatly get a second opinion, and by all means if you do end up needing to rebuild or at least re-ring it will be worth the effort and money. You drive one of the coolest trucks on the road! If all checks out put a rear main seal in it and enjoy!
  14. I really want to change out my cluster for one that has a tach. I know that I need to have one with the cable drive Speedo, but is there any restrictions on what year will work with my 88 MJ 6 cyl? Does it matter what FI or Ign. system the donor vehicle had? 4 or 6 cyl? Currently mine has: Speedo, Oil press, temp, volts, and the Big fuel gauge with an idiot light for low fuel in the bottom left corner.
  15. I saw this thread and went and ordered one of those harnesses! I got mine here: Wholesale Mopar Seems to be a pretty good price too. $77.38
  16. I have a 1988 SB Comanche with a 4.0 and the peugeot 5spd. I have see a lot of posts on here lately referring to the Renix 4.0. I am assuming that Renix refers to the FI system. So what are some key identifiers to see if that is what I have? Fortunately my rig runs GREAT but I'm sure there will be a time that I am going to run into troubles.
  17. THANKS!!!! That is a great tip! I couldn't find this one though. browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs = true But it switched all of the others and it is WAY faster!
  18. Nothing that fast! This had to take HOURS to run! Let alone program!
  19. Hey TNT that is some REALLY nice work! Those motor mounts are TOP NOTCH! I want a set.
  20. Yea it's pretty stupid. Mine wants me to upshift from 5th gear all of the time.
  21. I still don't think it would be all that hard to make it work. If there is no way to wire it differently than it wouldn't be hard to add an extra bulb. I could be wrong (Cause I am always driving my MJ, not behind it :D ) but I thought the difference between MJ and XJ taillights (Aside from shape) is that XJ's have a dedicated T/S. where on an MJ both top and middle bulb flash at the same time and overides the brake light on the side that is signaling. If that is the case, than you could just hook up one bulb like on the Dakota. The shop I used to work at has a dakota, I'll stop by at lunch tomorrow and take a closer look.
  22. It a taillight for a 88-96 dodge dakota. I bet with a little bit of work one of these could be made to fit on an MJ. Dakota Taillight
  23. I bet you could try and pirate parts of of one of these to make that a really clean, safe truck.
  24. I have been looking into this as well. So far it looks like the bed/cargo light from a 2001 chevy fullsize will fit very nicely and it as a 3rd brakelight as well. When I get around to getting one I'll post up on how it worked out.
  25. Jeez and up here in Philly we haven't seen but a dusting yet this winter!
