Pictures to come shortly, been camera shy lately lol

  7. Well its been almost a month since an update, not much has been accomplished since. Did end up getting the trans back in with the famous torque bolts finally She now moves under her own power, but like usual ive hit some bumps in the road lol Installed some new filler neck hoses, and cleaned up the filler neck as well Huge stepping stone for me lol Also bought some yellow lights off ebay, nice quality for the money Sadly I'm having some major front end issues, my ruggid ridge steering is hitting my diff cover, and inside of my rims when turning. Brake peddal is super soft with no pressure, and my power steering pump went. And lastly my upholstry guy has my seats that need to be recovered and is currently mia

  11. Not much progress have been made, instead of taking a few steps foward i ended up rolling back. Jeep would not move and was making for serous noise from the bell housing area. After a few hours i figured it was time to pull the trans and take it to a tranny shop. Well that was not the case, as soon as i took it out i relized i never installed the 4 flywheel to converter bolts :wall: . Now I'm fightening to get her lined up and back in Stay tuned
  12. Hey I checked everything out and to the best of my knowledge everything looked pretty good. I am still new to the internals of engines and trannys so this has been a pretty good learning experience for me Thanks
  13. Sounds like when it's spinning its rubbing on metal, I thought about the linkage, but if it wasn't fully engaged, it shouldn't move forward or back at all right? Ill take a video tomorrow so you can hear the sound, I'm praying at this point I don't have to drop the trans again... Will be a pita
  14. Well my jeeps just about complete, and I topped off all the fluid today and when I go to move the jeep I hear a grinding noise conning from the converter area. I tightened all the bolts so its not hitting the flex plate Fluids good and topped off Will roll a couple feet foward or back but as soon as the gas is applied to won't move and the noise comes Trans recently had all new seals down, I did find some dust shavings when I removed the lower flex plate I'd hate to take the trans out if its something simple but I'm leaning towards a bad converter Specs 1990 jeep mj Lwb 4.0 auto 4x4 Any help would be appreciated
  15. How do you like the Gibson?
  16. New update, I have yet another injector leak...... Can't catch a break
  17. 18. Good news, the brown santa came loaded yesterday and today. Got my new injectors finally, rear brake hoses, and a few other misc items. If all goes well and goes smoothly with a few bumps, i should have her moving under her own power this weekend pictures to come soon with some updates
  19. Thanks for the replies, i took some measurments this morning from the axle tube to the frame Passengerside is about 12 3/4 Drivers side is about 12' this is where i measured to The front springs are old man emu ome930 which should net me right around 1.75-2 inches of lift I ordered a pair of new xj shackles from rockauto lastnight which should help hopefully, if not i may have to sell off my oba for some acos Tires are 30x9.50 a/t here's a link to m build page 5 is all the suspension http://comancheclub.com/topic/36077-my-first-mj-and-build-project-restore/page-5
  20. How much did the settle down over time?
  21. Sorry i took the picture on a slight angle, but it was almost dead set on 24'' I will post some more pictures in the am with more measurements
  22. Recently installed a set of military wrapped springs ( 3+2 ) on my comanche. After mocking up the bed today i have a huge rake. The front is lifted around 2'' and from my measurement the rear is lifted right around 4.5. I would like to lift the front to level it out some, but my funds are tight and cannot afford to lift the front. I have a steel jcr bumper, roll bar and tool box that will go onto the bed soon so having a 1/2-3/4 rake would be ideal about 24-24.5 hub to flare Is there anyway to lower the rear around 1 3/4- 2'' I know stock xj shackles will lower it about 1/2-3/4 Thank and here are some pictures Also is my tire suppost to be soo off center?
  23. Truck looks great, i personally like it with out the molding, more of a cleaner look. Any more pictures, love the color
