  1. Gonna fix my wipers.... Image Not Found CW
  2. It sure enough does now don't it!! The one in my pic was just bought and installed last month. Then last year we did another one. Maybe ours is a newer case design, yours is older??? ... Anyhow, its a REALLY good diff!!! Very smooth with near locker like performance. Only defeated by lifting a tire. Good luck with it!! CW
  3. OH MY GAWD NO!!!... :shake: LOL it kinda looks like it huh.. naw, its just a reflection from the 48" shop lites in the garage... :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: CW
  4. Are you sure that's a True-Track?? Image Not Found I don't recognise the cut outs in the sides... The ones I have seen and recently installed where completely round on the sides. CW
  5. I just watched a YOU-TUBE video of you in a mud pit!!! LOL I recognised the "flapper" hanging from your bumper and the missmatched rims... I'm no fan of mud pits, but it looked like you had a good time slipping and sliding with mud and dirt flying off the back tires. At first I thought you might have lost your front axle.. then I realized it was 2WD. CW
  6. Well I see its not stainless, but they offer a single exhaust adaptor. CW
  7. That water crossing seemed like fun at first huh..... CW
  8. I have to remove the thin chrome cover and fix my CB today but we had cold rain all day so all I got to do was straighten the garage and paint my diff cover... I found a old PA loudspeaker and added it to the under hood accessories. :D I also found the lower control are skid plates I bought way back and forgot about!!! Those will get welded in this week. CW
  9. Autolites copper plus has worked fine for many many years. Stay away from the platnum if a renix, I doubt it does anythiung for a HO either. You would be wasting your money. CW
  10. I put a Clifford on a Ford 4.9L 300ci many years ago and it was a good, well build unit. I would buy it again. http://www.cliffordperformance.net/Merc ... _Code=J258 CW
  11. Yesterday I picked up a 6X8 canvas tarp and some HD 5000lb rated pull tabs. I need to figure out some "bows" to keep water from pooling on top of the tarp. Also need some more bungies of the correct lengths for firm support. CW

  13. I see what your saying. Looking again, I to would like to see something on the side of the frame bolted as well. Then again, I tend to over design mounts like this and recently had to step back when a Buddie helped me remount my winch and mount on the TJ. [My Buddie] "Man, look at the size of all these bolts for the mount to the frame" [Me] Yea, they have to stand up to the weight of the Jeep Plus what ever its stuck in/on. OR look at the cap of the winch, 10,000lbs that's allot. [my Buddie] "Well then, why is it only mounted with 4 3/8" bolts into a cast body". I guess I never really looked at it that way...... Just saying. CW
  14. Pete, did you ever make thes up as decals? If so I would like a couple for the trailer!! Shoot me a PM and I'll send you the funds!! CW
  15. Because its NOT DESIGNED as a submarine!!!!   Water crossings, need to be done SLOWLY and CAREFULLY. Even then only done if necessary and at KNOWN areas where the depth is not too deep to cause stalling. Personally, I don't go in the water. But the couple times I have needed to, I stop at the top of the tire. Obviously you have exceeded the depth your jeep can cross, find a shallower spot. Better yet... STAY OUT OF THE WATER!!!  CW
  16. Yup, but its not compressed air, its carbon dioxide in liquid form. It turns to a gas and gets very cold. (Do any of you guys paint ball??) Far more efficient then a compressed air tank. I have one on each of my Jeeps, a 10# in the TJ and a 20# on the MJ as its got more room. That tank will completely air up a 35" tire at more then 20 times. The 10# is plenty for my own vehicle for a weekend of wheeling. (Not airing up all my buddies.) its 50$ to refill both the 10 & 20# tanks. I run air tools and refill my tires after wheeling. I air down to about 10Lbs for a better footprint and traction in the rocks. Remember TREAD LITELY? Here is a Build up simular to mine: http://www.stu-offroad.com/recovery/co2/co2-1.htm Here is a store bought setup: http://www.powertank.com/ CW
  17. This month I rejoined my local off road Club, http://www.JONFUND.com . I missed the comradery and events. Pop mentioned that some of the best times he remembers where camping and wheeling with that club. Next week end is one of my favorite events. We call it Oktoberfest or O'Fest for short. We wheel from mid morning to middle afternoon, then me up at a members home for a potluck dinner, bonfire and some really good times. Of coarse, lots of responsible beer drinking. SO< I needed to get some things finished up on the MJ to make it trail ready. I finished everything accept the CB antenna cable. I had to cut it back when the bed came off and havent spliced it back togather. Going to put an end on each end and a union in the middle. I finished the welding of the bumper extentions/side protection. Then found a good spot for the CO2 bottle mount. i used to mount it to the pass side of the bed behind the cab. but the roll bar is there now. I wanted it as central as possible to remove the necessacity to remove it to fill the tires after airing down. I have a 25' hose and a 15" coil so it will reach every corner mounted to the gate. Then I added the shovel right next to it. CW
  18. I finished the welds on the bumper, and mounted my CO2 bottle and shouvle to my swing out gate. CW
  19. The bumper pass side is on!! Needs to be finish welded on the frame, and final trim on the sheet metal. But it aint going anywhere as it stands!! CW
  20. No one that I know of.. but it looks stout enough. Give it a shot and post up the install!!! CW
  21. THANKS again guys!!! I really appreciate the compliments!! I have two welders, 99% was from my Hobart 140 mig with .035 flux core wire. I finished it up with .030 solid core wire. CW
  22. FINEALLY getting back to the rear bumper side armour!!!! We got SNOW here today... or I would be out there melting this on ceptin' writing about it!! CW
  23. FINALLY finishing up my "overhang" protection that I begun some months back.... I had to step away from it as it was frustrating me to no end. I only had about 2hrs tonight and figured I would only get a couple pieces cut... I got is almost completely tacked together!!!! Maybe tomarrow I'll get it welded on... CW
