Update.... Its been awhile... I decided to put my winch on my Jeep its been sitting under my tool box for a Year. Started with a winch plate from Harbor freight and cut my bumper to figure out how to use it.. Got the plate tacked on.. Bent up some tube to protect the winch and reinforce the bumper. Couple of supports and paint... Image Not Found Winch bolted on and Masterpull XD rope spooled on... Winch box mounted under hood I did in the cab controls. Upgraded my battery. Optima's were never designed for what we in the offroad world use them for.... Ever since Optima moved there plants over seas the quality has gone down hill.... There are 4 levels of Optima batteries. Don't ever buy one from Costco they get the bottom of the list. the good ones go to the top battery company's... If you want a battery that you don't have to worry about buy a Odyssey battery Yes they are a little expensive but they come with a 3 or 4 year warranty depending on battery, they have a 2 year shelve life before needing charged. They can take being drained and recharged several times without hurting the battery. I don't want to write out all the specs you can go to their website or here is the spec sheet http://www.odysseybattery.com/batteries.html Jason

For where I wheel and how I wheel. I needed less wheel base. I was down at the Rubicon and destroyed my drive-shaft Video below. And in Moab I got screwed on some obstacles because I was to long and was getting hung up on my drive-shaft. I don't plan on running anything bigger then a 35" tire. So making my wheelbase shorter is what need to be done. I wheel with a lot of Cherokee's on 35's and I see if they had a few more inches in wheelbase they would have a easier time climbing and making some stuff. Cherokee's have a 102 to 103 inch wheelbase when lifted depending on lift.- 32 replies

So I started my wheel base mod this weekend. I started off with a 114" wheel base and I'm shorting it up 8" so it will be at 106". Which I think will be perfect. So first I had to get the bed off which is kinda a pain. So I did some measuring and found out I couldn't use a regular front leaf spring mount because it would put the spring to far below the frame and lift my jeep 2". So I decided to do my part and Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and reuse the front spring brackets. I had to drill out all the spot welds holding the leaf spring brackets on the frame :bang: . Then I decide to reuse the rear hangers too. So out came the drill and more drilling :bang: . So with all spot welds drilled and the mounts off I started measuring again and I had to notch the frame so the front leaf spring bushing would clear and not lift my rig. So came the notching of the frame and finding something that was 4" round to fill in the notch, I happened to find an old oxy bottle cap and it worked perfect. Got the front leaf spring mounts cut so they would fit Then started tacking the mounts on front and rear. While I was doing the rear hangers Brady shorted my rock rails so they will clear the tires... And here it is on the ground, I will be final welding all the brackets next weekend and start on the bed To be continued.......

I just did this and I'm still in the process of doing it I started last saturday about 10 hours and have been working on it after work bout 3 hours a night and I'm going in tomorrow and finishing it up it is a lot of work... Here is the complete harness, dash and A/C out of a 90 xj. Which I found out after words that the harness is different. So in order to get the fuel pump and rear lights to work I had to do some wiring and splicing... Dash out and new a/c box installed front of jeep tore apart to install the condenser and compressor. The old dash and wiring...

I did this to my MJ and it worked great... I used the brake booster, master, proportioning valve and pedal assembly out of a 96 cherokee... I used the main line that went back to the rear valve, used a brass coupler to remove the brass T that was there... I re-bent the line to the pass. side and replaced the driver side with a new line. and it works great with the Waggy Dana 44's front and rear..... I can take pics if you want...
