  1. I believe CW's MJ is his DD, and he's got a SWB jeep for wheeling.
  2. what color wire? http://snowboard247.blogspot.com/2005/0 ... -info.html that may help. If it's not there, post up what color it is, I'll look it up in the FSM.
  3. I hadn't thought of that issue. I'd just disconnect the extra 2 switches, maybe use them for something else.
  4. well, the good news is that the fork is pretty cheap, and it's not that difficults to get it repaired. Cost of learning :)
  5. cw, do you want any pics of the stock mounting? I could see it being safer than nothing if you used the stock mounting location, they're some beefy brackets that bolt to the frame. I've got the brackets, just no bar :headpop:
  6. yeah, the pinion nut came of on my d35, it's kinda frightening.
  7. the doors themselves will fit on with no mods. You'll need to grab the power window harness to make all that work without any issues.
  8. well, you moved everything around during the trans install, so I'd say linkage first. If you adjust it and it doesn't work then I'd say fork. Did you disco the t-case linkage when you split the motor and trans? If not then I could see that the yanking required to do the clutch may have bent the fork through the linkage.
  9. holy crap that thing looks huge on that motor.
  10. yes, but the holes in the trans for the t-case put it at a higher angle. Good for clearance, bad for your floorpan. You'll likely need a few good whacks with a hammer to the floorpan to clear the t-case.
  11. I saw on the yahoo club page that pete had posted something about the provider doing maintenance. I guess another customer did something bad to the server.

    FNG

I want a FSJ in the worst way. A j20 with a diesel swap is my ultimate tow rig.
  13. sweet. Let me know how much it is to ship to 44805, I'll get you some cash sent in the mail. I forgot also, gonna be in pitt for the steelers game this weekend, any place I can drop this D-shaft off at?
  14. your engine compartment is clean. Mine's a cross between grease and rat's nest of wires :)
  15. gotta get me one of those. You didn't happen to find a 10 spoke center cap did ya?
  16. is that extreme 4x4? The one with the dude and the chick? I saw the ranger on that. The bracketry on the axle wasn't near strong enough for the kinda running they wanted to do. Tore the bracket off a coilover I think, then the front end disentegrated when the axle flopped under.
  17. well, I know lots of people that run XJ's with no steering stabilizer, and with proper setup and tight front end components it's not a problem.
  18. keep what you've got, buy a new trackbar and some spacers. Remove AAL in the rear and go spring over. That's the cheapest and most effective way to get the 5" you want. Then take the money you saved and keep it, or upgrade other parts of the truck. At 5" controls arms are something to be considered, likewise with steering. Seems anything over 3" comes with a lot of "extra" things you need to do to other components than just the suspension. Brake lines, steering, e-brake cables, swaybar links.
  19. if anything pull the trans, that's an AX-15, and worth as much as he's asking for the truck if it's in good shape. Buy it, the only major difference to your truck is the ECU. Most everything else will work in yours. Body panels, the motor will work if you transfer your electronics to the long block, doors, everything but the wiring harness. I'd love to have a parts truck.
  20. So everytime you hit a bump do you here "eh" from the rear end? I would rather keep my junk SUA, when you go SOA you have to worry about axle wrap becoming a problem.
  21. not difficult. You'll want to bypass the load sensing valve in the rear so the discs get the right ammount of fluid. You can swap in a ZJ proportioning valve too, then it's like having factory discs.
  22. thanks for that tid bit Eagle. Mine have the silver, so when I beg for a replacement I'll have to say that.
  23. before I took the toolbox out of mine I was going to mount a hi lift to the back of it, like CW did to his bed. Dan, I don't know where you're at, but I've got two toolboxes sitting in the driveway I need to get rid of.

    Introduction

well, that happens. Just think, if it was an XJ you woulda screwed up a door. Seems like the beds take most of the beatings, mines got a few nice dents.
