possibly. If it ran out of fluid you could have toasted it, the fluid lubricates the pump as well as providing pressure for the power steering. If it fails you 'll loose the power steering, as long as it doesn't seize you can still drive the truck, you'll just have to work harder at low speeds. If you're rally concerned replace it, it's not a hard task, just make sure you get the rental pulley puller at the parts store. Pull the pulley from the old pump, put on new pump, bolt it in . If I were going to do the pump I'd probably do the other line as well. Chances are it will fall apart when you take it apart.

you can order the GM style lock cylinders from JC whitney. They're cheap and come with the key.

those numbers sound right, I'd also cheak for a ground with high resistance. Ground for th tail lights should be behind the drivers side one.

you're not making any sense. Not having a trackbar is why it's not centered. Without the trackbar the front end is only kept under the truck by the control arms, and they can't locate the axle side to side, just front to back.

I'd just stick a 2.5 in it. Hop up the 2.5 a little and you'll get more out of it than the 2.8 And it won't fall apart.

If you don't have your trackbar attached then there's no way you can center the axle with the draglink. lifting the suspension will make your track bar and draglink SHORT. Simple geometry.

a spider gear replacement is your best bet. pop out carrier, replace spider gears with locker, put carrier back in. no gear setup involved.

an djustable track bar for your amount of lift will certainly fix the problem. Most manufacturers sell them for 0-3" and 3-6" of lift. It would be prudent to measure how much lift you really have. If you've not vut the flare then you can measure from the flare to the center of the wheel. Stock is about 18" IIRC

luckily the local advance guys don't ask me questions anymore. They just get what I want. WHen I asked for the flex line from a mid 90's dakota he asked me what the hardline size was, I confirmed that it was right and he went and got it for me. they stopped asking questions when I told them that I had a 97 axle with 90 knuckles and 97 rotors and hubs.
