  1. i tip my hat to them as well. though i have no military experience yet, my grandpa was a Vet of WWII, my uncle of Vet of Vietnam, my dad was in the military during Vietnam but was never shipped over. one of my cousins is in iraq right now, and i have some friends that are about to be shipped over to iraq.
  2. i know my dad is going to be looking for an mj sometime after he gets settled down in florida, so there's one more, but he's not going to turn it into a crawler or anything as far as i know, and i doubt he'll join the club. i have been checking up to see if there were any, i haven't seen hardly any for sale.
  3. halo reality is coming out in the near future then i suppose :dunno: i like the dash instruments. "a fuel economy of more than 110 miles per gallon." i can dig that.

  5. haha that's what i was suspecting. it's coming a long, still be awhile before i start doing anything like a lift and painting and stuff. haven't done anything serious to it, other than replacing the fuse box. i am about to put in a keyless entry and alarm system but i gotta fix that light switch for when you open up the door the lights turn on before i can get the alarm system to work. i am thinking about putting in a cb as well. my dads got one of them laying around somewhere. i would say it will be about fall before i have enough for a lift, and hopefully a d44 rear.
  6. what does it take to swap over a manual tranny to an auto tranny in the mjs? don't have any plans to do so, just want to know.
  7. that's the way the lighter in my friends honda prelude is. you gotta hold it in to get hot. so i decided i was going to try to fix it. well i gotta it to stay in and pop out, and it would literally "pop out" just about making it to the back seat.
  8. fort myers or cape coral. but am only gonna be down there for about a month. i gotta drive to and from florida. Not something that I'm real proud of (or have taken any pics of)... but it's cool to have a twin... I'm still torn on whether or not to pull the stripes off... I have the eraser die-grinder thing, but haven't sacked up and used it yet... I think I still want too, but not sure... My engine is pretty beat to crap, so I think the next "big" thing is a rebuild that I'm not really looking forward too.. I was thinking about flying JeepCoMJ out to Cali and have him help me drop a super charged 3800 out of a Grand Prix GTP to see how it rolls... or maybe just a clean rebuilt Jeep 4.0 for simplicity's sake... SW2 I was at the paint store last week and picked up one of those decal eraser deals,,, It works pretty good,, but takes a while.. allow yourself a good Saturday evening to do one side.. well i won't have to deal with it since i gotta friend who keep naggin on me to let him paint for me when he gets back from college.
  9. my dad and i went to tacoma yesterday. my dad drove the mj and now he wants it. i gotta drive it to florida pulling a trailer anyways. my next little project is installing a keyless entry with an alarm system my dad bought for the old 86 and never put it in. so i am going to put in the 89.
  10. ahh. well to be honest, i like the stripes, but i am debating on whether to pull my as well, since i am going to get it repainted once my buddy goes off to college and comes back for automotive schooling for painting or something, he said he is going to paint my truck for me, but that won't be for about a year. i think i would rebuilt the 4.0. what does the 3800 put of for horsepower and torque? i agree with mini beast (i still don't have everybodies names down yet) on stroking it. i have been thinking about stroking mine.
  11. yeah, they look pretty much the same. your tailgate don't look that bad. but i mean you gotta good tailgate, i gotta unpainted fender that is missing a flare and a messed up rear bumper pretty much got twins going on here  finished putting the wiring harness back in yesterday, and today i put everything else back in. and ALL the electrical stuff is working now. except for the rear speakers. i think they are garbage. so i am going to do down to look at some prices for speakers to put in the doors.
  12. :beerhead: nice mj
  13. i am in pendleton quite often and i have never seen a comanche there. in fact once i get all the electrical problems worked out, i am heading down there to visit some ol friends of mine. nice looking mj you get there though.
  14. there were some missing plugs to the other wiring harness so my dad swapped the new fuse box over to the old wiring harness today. so that is finished. i just gotta put it back in now. i am going to do that when i head back home in about an hour.
  15. happy birthday man. have a good one. :beerhead:
  16. would it be a good idea to reuse the original rear bumper brackets?
  17. too far for me, i might be coming through this summer, but i won't have my truck. i'll be driving a moving vehicle and flying back from florida. don't think they'll let me bring that along as luggage.

  21. nice boat, and a good looking truck. i don't get to drive my mj but i get to drive a penske moving vehicle from washington to cape cod or fort myers this summer.
  22. any of you guys have a build up plan?
  23. what is your asking price for it, if you want to sell it?
  24. i took a trip to the junk yard today to look for a fuse box. didn't get it because i didn't have cash on me so i was going to go to the bank and head back over there after a bit. when i got home, i went to remove the bench seat again, and i see a whole wiring harness and fuse box already in there. my dad's always one step ahead of me.
