  1. not exactly sure, my dad got it for me. they said it will fit a dakota and a mj. it fits though. battery ran dead so i didn't get a chance to take any after i got it on. Image Not Found Image Not Found started to try and drive a hole there, but that as well was a pain so i decided i would wait on it. both bolts at the top were where i drilled for new holes. 2. got my new bumper today, let me tell you, it's a pain in the @$$. only one hole from the braces line up, so i drilled two more holes one on each side for the moment, just to keep it on good, i am going to have to drill two more holes one on each side so it's really good and sturdy so i can pull stuff with it. other than that it's a nice bumper.
  3. $3.69 average for 87 highest is $3.79 haven't been looking at the diesel prices, but i am sure they are up in the 4$ range now.
  4. went ahead and did that. i'll keep an eye on the oil level for the next few weeks to see if it changes dramatically.
  5. i will pick up at least five qts. i suppose.
  6. this has been the first time i checked it since i got it, which isn't a good idea, and i haven't put any in it neither. once i get some more in there, i will check on it about every two days for awhile to see if there are any problems. i know it's not leaking, there aren't any oil spots on the ground where i park it, i have been underneath and it looks pretty good and clean.
  7. is needed to fill her up with? i have about a quarter inch on the stick, so i need to put some in and i want to make sure i get enough so i don't have to make a second run.
  8. i don't know how old the shocks are. i know the guy said something about a guy wanting to buy the mj and wanted chop the coils and lower it and the guy who was selling it didn't like that idea because of what he put into for the suspension. i will write him an email asking him about them. and i will check the bushings when i get home or tomorrow if i end up getting home too late tonight, i am about to leave for tacoma, it's my grandmas birthday today. and i am running 15's on rim size. 235/75/15 which are 29" tires or like a decimal short.
  9. well as far as i know, there's not a lift on it. i have a size bigger than recommended tires on it. what kind of details you need or want?
  10. i am thinking i need a less stiff suspension, feels like i don't even have any suspension when i am going over the bumps in the road. would i have to replace the coil springs and the shocks? or what is the deal to make it a little bit easy when hitting bumps in the road?
  11. i had actually checked out the florida jeepers a couple days ago, google florida jeepers and it popped up.
  12. i will more than likely make my way there. i hear orlando has A LOT of stuff to do there, so i will probably check it out, might as well while i am there. i will be sure to let you know if i do. sounds good, i will shoot you a message when i have made my way down there and get everything moved in and what not. i'll be around for about a month or two seeing as how it's going to be pretty expensive to get back up here to washington.
  13. we don't have inspections/emissions tests here in this part of washington.
  14. well i figured if anyone would pull me over it would be a stater for it since they are bigger a--holes than the city cops, but i have met some nice stater's and all the city cops i have talked to personally are nice guys, especially the one who let me off of a felony last year, i won't get into that story, i am not at all proud of the decision i made then. guess it's a good thing he told me about it, i don't need some guy chasing after me for a busted windshield, especially when i can't afford it. they don't look half bad anyways.
  15. that's a pretty good idea there pete. well here in washington the cops pretty much come up with any kind of bull$#!& just as long as they can pull you over and give you a ticket, else where, like in florida the cops follow the rules rather than make the rules, washington cops are about the biggest dick heads there are. figured it had to be something about making sure peoples windshields don't get busted up and what not. not a bad thing to have them i suppose, just really didn't want to waste the very little bit of pocket money i have. and thought it was pretty ridiculous that there's a requirement for both.
  16. haha well it'll bee a good thing when i go to florida this summer them. my tires are within the fenders, they cop told me it just sits to high from the ground, and i am thinking he's crazy it's barely higher than my last truck, due to the tire size. no i looked for the naked chick ones, didn't have any. i haven't been bothered yet either, i have had dozens of cops behind me driving around town, on the highway and in oregon. only time i have ever been pulled over was because my ball hitch was in the way of my license plate with the 86 mj. i think it's pretty stupid, because i saw vehicles sitting higher than mine, with no mud flaps. in fact, there's a toyota with 37s in richland, i didn't see no mud flaps. ha i will try to get a picture of the yota.
  17. and apparently my truck sits high enough that i have to have mud flaps on and i "must have" a rear bumper. thought it was kind of odd. cop said he'd let me off with a warming and advised that i pick up some cheap mud flaps and get a bumper on real soon. told him i got a bumper on the way, and i went and picked up some universal mud flaps for 20$.
  18. nothing exciting, but i got the switch for my lights and got that fixed. now ALL my electrical stuff is working. so i am starting on the keyless entry. won't get to do anything like a lift, 4wd conversion and other stuff until i finally graduate and start working (i start work either mid june or the beginning of july). i have money coming for graduation and college, so i will use some of my graduation money to do something.
  19. well that's a bummer then. i couldn't put in a t-case with the tranny i have now either i suppose?
  20. is a 5spd tranny with a 4 banger bellhousing able to be converted for the 4.0L?
  21. oops. i didn't see this. plus my sisters camera was about an hour drive away and i didn't know where my dads was. we didn't swap the harness we just cut wires to replace the fuse box. he did that, then i had to put the harness back in. wasn't that difficult, it's nice to have an extra pair of hands available.
  22. well i would take it, but i am looking for a fiberglass one. i am heading to florida this summer. might see what is available along our route.
  23. got my cd player in and rewired the rear speakers so now i can listen to some tunes. i gotta get some door speakers and dash speakers now, and get a cd player mount.
