not really lookin for a roof baskett more of a rack for the bed Get a roof rack for a SUV and mount it to the top of a ladder rack. -
Correction.................. I think you'll need a smaller size tubing. I was thinking about the brake bleed which is larger then the clutch bleeder. You should remover the bleed valve and take it with you to get the right snug fitting size. .......Nothing Follows...........

Well that was where your fluid was going the first time. Now you just have to find out why your pedal is going to the floor. Good thing about the tubing is it will positively bleed your system, in case the problem your having is air in the system. The tubing is cheep at like .20 or so cents at Lowes.

This one looks high speed. -
To me that points right to the master cylinder. Get a 10 ft section of 3/16 clear vinyl tubing and a small zip tie. Put one end on the slave bleeder, zip tie it to the bleeder, run it up draped over your door mirror, and into the MC's reservoir. Now pump your clutch and watch the tubing. You'll be able to see whats going on with the fluid. Air? Maybe a busted line , No fluid? MC not pumping, Good fluid flow? Slave fubar'd.

Still losing fluid as it goes to the floor?

Steering Slop Gone, finally
jtdesigns replied to deziped's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I don't quite understand..... (big surprise huh?? :D ) The title is what is confusing me. So, is the slop gone???? You have have to take some good pictures of the steering box rebuild. I've seen you do some pretty involved things, so I'm sure you can do it! I have lots of slop in my steering and I'd like to get it right too. ;) -
Honda's have a device called the FITV (Fast Idle Throttle Valve) what it does is basically use the engine's coolant temp to control a orifice that lets a little air into the throttle body to keep idle up until it reaches a warmer temp. As far as the 2.8 I would think that if you had any kind of coolant line entering the carb anywhere would be the same type of deal. I could be way off base, but I never seen a carb with a coolant line going into it. I have seen a preheat tube that comes off the exhaust manifold which uses a vacuum diaphragm to open and close. Your's may be missing? Another thing could be the valve maybe stuck, or inop. I have also seen engine block blankets that wrap around the engine in low temp areas to keep the engine toasty. I would think if you have the rad's airflow cut off it should keep warm pretty good. How cold is it there?

Man I only eat "sour"kraut on a Reuben!!! I want to say Ill try it, but I don't think it would pass in this house unless I cooked it on the downlow... Hell I'd have to cook venison on the downlow and call it beef to get anybody anywhere close to eating it! :rotfl2:

Link doesn't work. Well it works, but takes me to a email server proxy kinda thing.

If I were hungry I'd use a dog to get game.. Sportsman like no, but when it comes down to food for the winter when your about broke then things take on a new meaning. I would only kill what I needed not like everything I saw. Just like if I came home and saw a deer in my backyard; I would take aim for sure. I haven't had time to do any hunting this year and I really can't stand just sitting waiting. I have to walk or circle, but I don't like doing that unless I'm 100% sure I'm the only one in the woods. If I get anything this year I'll hook you up.

Do you have to pickle it?? I guess I'll have to try that this year! Kinda reminds me of the movie Red Dawn where the kid kills his first dear and has to drink the blood..... :ack:

heater vacuum line where can i buy one
jtdesigns replied to comanche13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
:agree: I need to replace the vacuum line that goes to the EGR solenoid. Those plastic lines get brittle and break easy when cold out. -
 You eat the heart?? Never tried that part of the dear....

Maybe not. That may be why the factory switched to motor oil. I wish someone would figure out if that new Pennzoil Synchromesh lube would work in the AX-15 and AX-5 trannies. I called Pennzoil when it first came out, and their engineer told me that lube was formulated for the NVG 3500/3550 and 4500 series transmissions. He didn't know what would happen if you used it in an AX-15 and he didn't care to speculate (at least, not to a customer -- wise man). I rather suspect it would work just fine, but I don't have a spare AX-15 to throw under the bus as a test specimen just in case it doesn't work just fine. Has anyone tried the stuff? Honda guys swear by it and the gm stuff.... What are the main differences in the trannies (ax-15 and nvg 3550's) ??
