I had to get towed in to my mechanic again . Just doesnāt want to start at bizarre times. The guys at Gear Works were kind enough to take an embarrassing photo of the Jeep on the flat bed -> It started right up when it was dropped off - of course. It turns out that the two bolts that hold the stater switch thing on top of the steering column are missing. Need to fix that ASAP obviously. The mechanic found out that my distributor was 180 degrees out, there weāre plugs on the wrong cylinders and bad plugs etc. He said I was running on two cylinders and has no idea how it even ran?? Probably, he said, it was the reason my transmission only has two gears now. Complete tune up and I have the power I never had before and probably will get MPGās above 8 to 10 around town Yeah, I picked up a used AW4 with 130k less miles on it that I will be posting about when I swap it out -> -
What should I do to prevent rust from developing in screw holes? The idiot that had the Jeep before me liked the lower trim so much he drywall screwed the pieces in place . I am going to be covering the parts of the Jeep that has the holes with armor, so it does not need to be pretty. What can I fill the holes in with to prevent the rust from forming behind the armor plates? Probably should fill them in while I am at it. What should I do?

You should give a try - it really does work.Jeff told me it was an As Seen on TV product (but the first that actually works) and I should give it a try. I am really happy with it. Itās expensive for such a tiny bottle, but all you need is a minuscule amount to get the job done. So far its holding up well in the FL sun. I still havenāt used except on the front bushwhacker flare, but I expect it to be just as impressive. The true test will be when summer rolls around. -

Thank you Mjeff87 for telling me about the black trim restoring product . I have used the Rust-oleum wipe new on the front bushwhacker flares and it is some amazing stuff. Before -> After -> Oh yeah! Three weeks in the Florida sun and they still look great . Definitely something to invest in if you have some fading trim. -
Lol. Never thought about that being my Xbox gamer tag

Awesome guys! I can paint the maroon panel gray if stroker doesnāt have one. Let me know how much you guys are asking for these. Thank you

I am hoping someone has, or has seen these things to pick up for me. I really need a nice functioning drivers side vent window. My is free swinging and I need to replace it before I get the Jeep windows tinted. I have not been able to locate these in any of the junkyards. I donāt know what exactly what they are called, but I will add pictures. And the power seat controller -> I am not sure if they are side specific, but I need the drivers side controller if they are. I hope some will know where to get these - thanks

Not bad for $20. I got an alert on a Sunday about a new Cherokee had just entered the junk yard. It looked like I should pass on going to look at it because I couldnāt see anything on it worth Snagging. It did have a roof rack, but I am making my own. I did realize later that I could use the mounting brackets on the rack I am making. I was not able to make it there for another week. I was pretty sure it would be gone by then, but I went anyways. Talk to the guy at the counter about how much for the rack? He said $20, so I was now hoping it was still there and it was -> I could not get the clamps off the crossbars and the crossbars off the rails. I did not want to leave this behind and they were closing soon. Ended up taking a hammer and hitting the crossbars off the rails. I got it off and hoped I would not be charged for them. I get up to the counter as they are locking the doors . Guy marks it with the paint pen and says $50. No no no, I was told by that gentleman there that it was twenty. Confirmed it and I went home happy. Not sure the counter guy was happy. I have no idea who makes this, but it Is welded construction. The more I Look at it; the more I really like it! Put a coat of Rustoleum semi-gloss black and immediately put it on. When I brought her home -> Then a few after shots -> -
Lol, I was also setting up my AOL account . Everything related to my name was taken, so I had to be creative. Decided on Richard backwards and the production number on my Jeep Jamboree CJ7.

That is a nice rig for sure!

Anybody have an idea of what the real cost of everything needed to put this motor in the MJ? Any good write ups on this that you could direct me too? Just started thinking about this ->

Thank you jdog. OK Jeff, how do you do it! Channel locks and a hammer? I was beating mine out with a mallet and about 3 inches of swing š. Getting them in was a piece of cake with the mallet and Phillips. -

Nope. Only have one picture of the Scrambler on it. I should probably do a build-up thread on it after I am done with the XJ. Here is the 8 -> -
