I would be willing to help give the entire site an overhaul. :D I have some experience developing forum sites... http://www.minecraftforum.net/ http://www.mmo-champion.com/ http://www.arenajunkies.com/ http://www.diablofans.com/ +70 more in the Curse Network Though I would want to change up all the software for a newer IP.Board installation. is that software free? No, but I would cover the cost of the software for the club. http://www.invisionpower.com/

Slide the metal straps off.(They are notched to slide off.) Then the tail gate lifts up and out on the right side. May have to wiggle the gate up and down to loosen any rust.

Sorry, you can not ask me to vote against a Grand Wagoneer! Not even a diesel has anything on the original luxury SUV.

I have considered turning my Comanche project in a drift Jeep. XD Just came home from helping my friend on his drift car.(Lots of wiring issues.)
-
Yes, the factory skid will work. My understanding is that there may be a couple mounting flanges that may need to be trimmed depending on the year of the ZJ and XJ.

That is correct. http://www.quadratec.com/products/12500_301.htm

no air box, need vacuum routing solutions

I have one I could send, but I can only imagine the high cost of sending it through customs to Canada. -
U-POL Raptor recommends having at least primer or an adhesion promoter for bare metal. This is because Raptor can still leech water towards the metal underneath.

Alexia's 1987 To 1997 Comanche
Alexia replied to Alexia's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
Ha! The 1997+ XJs have a lot of sanity in their design so they are easy to disassemble. Electrical harnesses that easily come apart and are physically separated by compartment. The harnesses under the hood separate easily into an engine section, upper fire wall, and light harness. I have absolutely everything labelled down to tiny details and have individual fasteners taped to the matching part. If you need help, just ask! I have Euramtec B-Pillar lights coming in the mail. I also have a newer 1998-2001 full gauge cluster shipping out soon with about 50,000 miles on it. I will have to rewire the dash connectors slightly for the 1997 dash wiring to support the newer cluster.(Just swapping a couple wires between connectors, simple!) My friend/coworker is doing a garage crawl this weekend with me. Going to get some engines pulled and I will be out helping him wiring up his drift car. -
Alexia's 1987 To 1997 Comanche

I have been slowly cutting the Cherokee apart to recycle the carcass. As well, I will be cutting around the frame rails to make a drive train stand to work on the parts. One big Jeep and a few minutes later I have a taco roof. -
If you search 1996 Jeep Cherokee, go to 4.0L, transmission automatic, and then drive chain you will find it on the site. All newer model years just list the Alloy USA NP231 chain.
-
Looking the chain for your Jeep over here. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php Should be $60 to $120 depending on the model. The switch can be bypassed by crossing some wires together at the switch connector with some paper clips. You will need to look this up in the Factory Service Manual since the switches are different throughout the years.

I know these pictures tend to be boring, but stripping vehicles is long and boring! Dehatched Deinteriored 1 Deinteriored 2 Space Saving, Storing the Hood and Hatch under the Jeep! Bunch of useful parts coming off. Useful interior parts, but someone else will get them. -
Contact Davey at Davey's Jeeps. He has them for $10 each. http://www.daveysjeeps.com/specials.html
-
Bump. Does anyone have either of these items ??? Thanks I do, but it will be one to two weeks before I can pull the exhaust manifold. The alternator bracket I could pull tomorrow night. I will let you know how that goes since the steel bolts like to break off inside the aluminum bracket.

The new section in the for sale section...
Alexia replied to dasbulliwagen's topic in Forum Issues, Ideas, Testing
Venders if as an acceptable alternate spelling of vendors, but this really depends on the regional accent. Typically likely to be spelled vendors. Looks like he has already changed it though. -
The XJ platform is nearing thirty years of production with minimal change to the main body structure. Not very many other models of vehicles can claim that. The XJ platform may be long dead in the USA, but China is embracing it like the USA did for its simplicity and versatility.

MJ in Macon, GA with 1997+ XJ Swap Done, $500
Alexia replied to Alexia's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Erm, yeah, that! Basically an already started project that some one could finish off easily. Having no engine in the way makes all the firewall modifications that much easier too. -

So, do you plan of calling it Vendors or Venders? You use both spellings! :P

What's your battery preference and why?
Alexia replied to Comanche County's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Diehard Platinum for when you need a serious battery. Walmart for a generic battery made by a good company, Johnson Controls. Their warranty process is simple enough to be just take it in each year and replace it just because you can. -
Need some help or opinions on what to paint my MJ once it is ready for that phase. I did not include the one poll option I tossed around with friends. Painting it light blue and putting rainbow stripes down the side.(Reference: Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony.) References for the poll questions. I passed up taking parts off a Comanche in a Pull-a-Part with a perfect rear bumper, tail gate, and tail lights. The key is to always be alert and ready to go. The $500 donor XJ I bought for my project I caught within a few hours of being posted on Craigslist and drove three hours to buy it at 1AM in less than twelve hours of it going online.
