89 4.0 Stumbling on accel.

Normally it won't do it on take-off or 2nd but 2-3 and 3-4 shifts it will stutter, shake and waddle like its a dog passing a pinecone. Oddly though, it won't do it all the time. I'm as confused as hell, I cleared out my airintake blockage, Ive put a new gascap on it, all EVAP lines are good, what is my problem!? argh

 

its an 89 4.0 BA-10 5spd.

Sounds like a problem with the valve body or a solenoid.

my truck was acting up between shifts and it turned out some dumbarse... (coughMEcough) had put the TPS in improperly.

 

check the TPS to make sure its working, it would only do it between shifts and it felt like backfiring.

Check your EGR valve and transducer while you're at it.

Its sorta like backfiring. But, now I see, that in-city I don't notice it, but if Ive got more than 1/4 tank, it won't do it.

You may have water or sludge in your gas. That'll do it.

it could also be a sign of your fuel pump starting to go bad.

I fiured that. in the few days Ive been offline due to a dead modem, I grabbed a few working spares and scured all the tools to do it roadside-stye if need be.
