4.0 i6 aw4 and 231j tcase. Custom frame. Potentially d30 axles front and rear for a 4 wheel steer build. Rear damage may get chopped and then convert this into a cab and bed truck build

The first cut is the hardest!

Was not hard at all on this one, even did it in my "nice clothes" at the end of the night after putting kiddos to bed.

Wife gave me a look while I was looking at it in the garage putting some stuff away.

"what ya thinking?"

Me? - firing up the plasma cutter and ditching this rear section...

"soo what are you waiting for?"

Yea i suppose it won't take long soo why not.

My next trick will be figuring out how to un-frowny face the body to get the door strikers to actually line up with the door latches...

Only amazons finest hockey pucks gets used for body mounts in this driveway.

My current task is utilizing the frame with the body bolted down to get the body back into square for the doors and top to fit right. I'll also use this time with the frame attached to start aligning and welding in the rear of this to make it a cab.

Samurais are fun!  I have a friend with a 1988.5 model, it is one of the most fun ways to zip around town or go to the beach with some friends.  It's also the most capable vehicle I've ever driven in the snow, 4x4 in a light weight truck with no power and good snow tires.
