camjeep3 Posted October 20, 2025 Author Posted October 20, 2025 After re reading my thread I realized the timeline and context of everything was confusing. At one point I did have good spark at the plug. But now I do not. I picked up a basic spark tester and fuel pressure gauge. Fuel pressure is good. No spark. That brings me back to the cps. The two o thought I ordered I never actually ordered. So those are on the way now.
camjeep3 Posted October 29, 2025 Author Posted October 29, 2025 Swapped cps. No spark. No voltage at plug. Going to try a different meter to rule that out. But this is getting old
ratrapp Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 you can still have a bad coil or ignition module thats under the coil.
Ωhm Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Using a voltmeter or 12vdc testlight (preferred) check for Battery_Voltage on the following pins (use battery_negative terminal for ground): D1_5: Battery_Voltage (Hot at all times) D1_6: At KEY ON, (Hot for 2-3 seconds). During CRANK, (Hot at all times). D2_4: At KEY ON, (Hot at all times). During CRANK, (Hot at all times).

But this is getting old When you are checking the CPS are you cranking the engine over with the starter? The CPS only creates voltage when the engine is spinning.
camjeep3 Posted October 29, 2025 Author Posted October 29, 2025 Ohm. I will do that and report back. Eagle. Yes. I have the multi meter in the cps plug and on the hood while I crank. I have tried back probing and directly to the pins in the plug
camjeep3 Posted October 29, 2025 Author Posted October 29, 2025 Before I start throwing more ignition parts at it I want to at least confirm cause cps output
llhat Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 sort of a captain obvious here... you are checking the CPS on the sensor side of the plug and not the wiring harness side??? no flames please
camjeep3 Posted October 30, 2025 Author Posted October 30, 2025 No flames here! It's a valid question. Yes I am checking at the sensor
