I have a core shifters unit in my MJ. Works perfectly.

I finished my modified OE shifter last night complete with a fresh bushing and a new boot.  I was hoping for a more drastic reduction in throw, but the stick is really long for now so I should probably withhold judgement until I trim / bend it once the dash and seats are back in.
