I'm not aware of any Comanche having a neutral safety switch.

There is a switch for disengaging cruise control on a manual Comanche.

I assume you are referring to a clutch switch.

Oh, I am just repeating what he called it. Were is this 'clutch switch' located?

Way up high near the pedal pivot.20230119_212002.JPG.4859049ee3f60296cc71f8d32f7ef0c1.JPG

I'll repeat, this part is for disengaging cruise control.  It's not a common part as there are not a lot of Renix Jeeps with a manual and cruise.

Renix Jeeps had a NSS

They do, theres some NOS and theyre expensive as hell. Chrysler in a bulletin said to clean them up and one of the techs at work who was working on Renix jeeps years ago said inside the NSS is actual gold contacts, hence the cost of them.

the manual transmission MJs most definitely do not have any device that prevents you from turning the key while the shifter is in gear and thus letting the starter move the truck forward (and eventually starting said truck and driving away).  very handy technique when your clutch fails on you. :D

He is a young buck, and he is chasing tail, so his truck is not a priority... lol! He will get back to me, at some point! I just sent him a text, asking him to not only reply but also to crawl under his MJ and snap some photos of just what we are actually dealing with.

Or if she doesn't run you can put it in 4low to get it on the trailer😁

Been there and done that, 4L with a non functioning clutch and about 8 inches of dense snow.
