Fire Extinguisher

Recommended Posts

I need ideas for locations to mount a fire extinguisher in my truck for the AMC Homecoming show in July. I have a bench seat and would like it to be accessible from the driver seat.

Also, if anyone has suggestions for the location for one in my Eagle, I’m game to hear those too.

waaaay back in the day I put mine on the pass side of the trans tunnel.  I rarely had a passenger so it didn't matter (and if I did I could simply remove it and chuck it behind the seat).  later I mounted it to the back wall right in the corner behind the driver (mounted to that 3/4" plywood wall I built).  then I moved it outside in the bed so anyone could grab them if needed.  The Liberty's is mounted to the pass side of the trans tunnel.

What would be cool is if AMC had the foresight to make an indentation in one of the B-pillars for an extinguisher.  Since there’s plenty of room for probably a small one to be clipped in. There’s probably plenty of space between the pass seat and lower B-pillar molding to put something there.

The side of the trans tunnel does sound like a pretty good spot.

That sounds like a fantastic spot!
