Bumpers

My dudes, I finally was able to put some dough aside and am ready to grab some bumpers for the chupacabra. Surely there is a "best" bumper set out there and y'all must know this, so where are them at? Watchu got that makes your bumpers best? No need to just say "I love mine" and not tell us why, but if you must...

Guess I’ll jump in: on my MJs/XJs I’ve run oem, JCR (vanguard) and now the warrior gen 1. They all have been different styles of builds which has played a huge factor. My current personal favorite is the warrior gen 1 as it has great retro styling (looks like a factory style option to me) while using a much thicker material and still allows me to run a hidden winch and not cut my front fenders to the 97+ style. 
 

The quality on the JCR was superb and they seem to think things through on the engineering side better than some. If I were going for a more full blown modified look with good angles and functionality I wouldn’t hesitate to grab a JCR bumper again. I’ve had 4 of them so far. 
 

Here is a compilation of styles I was collecting when making my decision. The last one is the one I went with for my newest build.

I'm a fan of the last pic, the Warrior Products one.

Would like to have one with a Winch, But I really like the looks.

ARB 3450010, don’t have one but some on here do. I like the simple classic look and no fender cutting.

That was a strong contender if it wasn’t for the winch mounted in front of the grill. Didn’t want to cut down what little radiator air flow I had further with a winch. That’s a good quality bumper though. Seen a couple in person and they are very nice.

I will mosdef be getting a winch as well, so the provisions for one must be there. Ghet, I am really liking the one on the scooped XJ, you know who makes that?

The “scooped xj” was my MJ. It’s the vanguard bumper from JCR. It’s one top notch product. Bit of a lead time but well worth the wait.

The winch is actually mounted down inside the bumper.  Only the control box is mounted on top of the bumper.  You can actually mount your control box anywhere you like (for example, inside the engine bay) if you run extended wires.

Baddadfab hidden winch with d ring mounts. Also a old school rhino brand brush guard. Thinking in going to end up buying a arb bumper though
