89 MJ Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 I have done some reading on the high altitude CPS for Renix trucks. It appears that it does not add more power at WOT, but it does make it idle smoother and cruise at speed easier. I am around 500-1000 feel in elevation. Can anyone confirm that it will not ping at that elevation? Is it actually worth doing? I plan on doing that with Cruiser’s dizzy index and a bored TB. I have the answer now for the 4.0. Does anyone have experience on it for a 2.5?
cruiser54 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 shouldn't be an issue at lower elevation. The system has a knock sensor anyway.

ghetdjc320 Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 @cruiser54 do you happen to recall the degrees of advance that cps is good for? I was thinking 3 or 6 but don’t remember
cruiser54 Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 I think it was 5* in high altitude configuration. My mod takes it a few degrees more than that.
89 MJ Posted March 5, 2022 Author Posted March 5, 2022 Good to know. I’ll be looking at ordering one soon. Thanks.

eaglescout526 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Ok I know 4.0L benefits from this but has any of my 2.5L brothers done this?
