Going to pickup a set of the key lenses for the comanche. (picture makes mine look better than they are). Trying to decide between chrome and black trim. I have black ones that I painted on now.  I have chrome door handles and mirrors going on soon but the bumper and tailgate handle will remain black.  I'm leaning towards black trim but still unsure.

I think you win either way. :D  I would go black, but mostly because they aren't chrome, but more of a silver.

I like the look of all red better on any truck.

What roll pan is that?

Hmm been a while since I had all red. Maybe it'll look better with new lenses? I originally did black lines to break up the back end a bit.

And it's either a dakota or S10, I forget but can find out.

Ah that makes the decision a bit easier. I thought they were shiny chrome.

Ended up going with no trim at all. Only had 2 left on eBay so didn't want to miss out.

Good choice. Also easy enough to paint black should you want to in the future.

Silver would have been all wrong.

For what it’s worth, I bought a set of their silver ones. They are just painted silver, there is no chrome plating to them like the OEM ones came with.

Is this a custom piece or where is it from?

not custom. its for a 82 to 93 s10 off ebay. I paid like $100 for it and it lines up well enough.

Interesting. Was planning to bring in the stock mj bumper and rework it a bit. You gave me a couple of more ideas for it now. Thanks

I'm sure with some light metal work it could be made to fit really nice.  My truck is by no means nice body wise so I didnt care about gaps.  Whats nice though is the mounting holes on the bumper line up perfectly with 2 holes in the bed so no drilling or cutting to make it fit.  Just bolted right on.

Very good to know, thanks!
