88mjsally
Got the passengers power door in and I mocked up all the wiring. I got lucky a while back on Facebook and scored a comanche power window and lock harness so I finally put that to use. Locks work and the drivers window works but of course I need a new regulator for the passengers side….

89 MJ
Nice! Is that Chev a 54 or a 55 1st series? Looks pretty low too. Stock chassis or something like an S10 chassis? I want more details!

We’ve had it for a while and it needs a paint job but it’s a good driver
88mjsally
Took the passengers window regulator all the way out before I figured out that it wasn’t plugged in all the way…. It’s back in and fixed now so both windows and auto locks work
88mjsally
Got the hybrid cluster worried up and installed and it seems to all work. Used a Renix gauge in the ho cluster so the fuel gauge will read the correct way. Next up for this truck is probably a windshield and rear slider. I need to focus on finishing up my blue long bed mj as well so I can sell/ trade it for a bigger truck. None of my trucks are really up to towing a car trailer or my boat so I’ll go down to 2 mjs, the tj and some sort of bigger truck
88mjsally
Finally started to tackle the rust in the floors the other week. Going to get that patched and start getting the truck ready to paint in the fall. Need to start pulling together parts and I need to source a good 3 piece slider

88mjsally
Got rid of the most recent parts jeep so now hopefully I’ll have some time to devote to this truck. Picked up a new to me header panel that’s from a 93 since I want this truck to look like the Comanche they should have made in 93. Going to color match it to the truck and put all the new lights I have for it in it
88mjsally
Key parts rocker is most of the way installed. Just needs a little more welding and grinding

88mjsally
Little bit of filler work and some paint and it’s pretty much finished. It just needs some seam sealer in the corner and along the bottom seam. Now to start on all the other body work
88mjsally
Started stripping the bedliner off the passengers door and put some primer on it. Still needs some finish work though. Talk about something that sucks to remove. Used a scraper and a heat gun which worked but it still wasn’t easy

I used the Renix gauge in the ho cluster so I could use a Renix fuel sending unit and have the gauge read correctly. It’s not really necessary now because MTS makes new HO MJ sending units which they didn’t make at the time I did the swap

I’ll have it out when I pull the dash to put the black one in so I’ll try to remember to make a diagram then for whoever needs it. 88mjsally
Got all the old decals and bedliner stripped off the lower part of the body. Fixed the broken striker on the drivers door as well. Working on fixing all the dents now so hopefully it’ll be ready for primer and paint pretty soon
88mjsally
I decided to lower the truck some to make it more of a street truck. Ended up doing ZJ rear springs in the front for about 2”. Then I did xj shackles and 1.5” blocks out back for about 2.5”. It looks pretty good in my opinion. It just needs the same size tires all the way around. Probably going to go with 215/75/15s which is what’s on the front
Pete M
go fatter 215s are skinny little things. going to look great all one color.
