75sv1 Posted October 4, 2021 Share Posted October 4, 2021 I've been in the process of this for several years. Part of my issue is that mine Waggy 44 is a passenger side drop. No one makes a setup for that. I went with Barnes on for the Drive side drop. I have someone working on it. I plan to keep the 6 on 5. I did not read the others articles. I think the OP should look at a trust setup to adapt the Waggy 44. Barnes, Tnt and Artec, I think make truss kits for the driver side drop Waggy 44. You might have you fabricate something yourself. I’ve used TNT and Artec trusses and brackets to build axles with. Artec quality is my favorite but tnt isn’t too bad. Problem is I don’t believe there is anything for the passenger drop waggy axle. You would have to use generic link brackets and shock tabs. It might or should work. They guy who does my fabbing, has it set up, just not welded. I think TnT ot Artec said to use their Ford Truss as a universal. ghetdjc320 Posted October 11, 2021 Share Posted October 11, 2021 Only real reason I’d spring for a truss up front on an axle swap is because the tabs and link brackets are all aligned for the vehicle so it takes out all the geometry work. I plan to use cross over steering. I'll have to change the passenger side knuckle, so I can put on and arm there. I'll probably use 1-ton Chevy TREs, thread inserts. Fryedaddy Posted March 11, 2022 Share Posted March 11, 2022 I did the Waggy 44 in mine but we differ on the rear, I bought a ford 8.8. The rear axle isn't that hard for either. Do you research, plenty of people have done that swap. The waggy 44 is much more involved but I really like my final results.
