Pete M
hey, do you remember the socket size for the transmission crossmember bolts? I've discovered my knee won't let me get down on the ground in the barn to check my own truck.

I picked up some big beefy 3/4 inch bolts for my steering
Pete M
it's possible that studs are in a separate box than all-thread.

Jesse J
hardened studs came (thanks pete!) trans should go in tomorrow. should I grease the inside of the bushing?
Pete M
I would soak it in gear oil overnight. but essentially the metal of the bushing itself is your lube.

scaleless
Pilot bushings are made from oil-impregnated bronze that release oil from microscopic pores as they wear down.
Jesse J
thats so cool. got it in today mostly headache free! just need to do all the accesories and then do the pedal and master asembley and it will be "driving". I did already break 2 bits trying to drill the old roll pin out of the old master so I can use the clutch line with my new master. also I still can seem to figure out the "quick disconnect" fitting on the slave side
mjeff87
Use your broken drill bit as a punch and punch out that roll pin. Don't try drilling it.
