Heidi
Could someone suggest a good salvage yard to buy Comanche parts? I am looking for a fuse box (cabin) for a 1989 Comanche Pioneer 4.

Pete M
Ebay usually has those sorts of things. Car-part probably won't list the tiny things, but you can search for larger things like engines and then call to see if the xj/mj is still around. Lots of different years might swap so be sure to know what all your options are.
howeitsdone
Forgot to add Hollander as well. https://www.hollanderparts.com A lot of yards on car-part also use Hollander, but there are quite a few that you'll only find on one or the other. A lot of yards will ship smaller items if you ask too. But out in the country a lot of shops only deal in cash so just have that in mind when you source a yard because they aren't shipping. FWIW CSG Auto Parts in FL has one from an '87 listed. But like Pete said, just call and ask a place that has a chassis.
fiatslug87
Or post in the wanted section, people here always have spares or are parting out MJs/XJs. And we're very friendly. Welcome to CC, add your MJ to the registry. You need 10 posts in order to post in the classifieds.
Jeeper1093
I am parting out an 87 Pioneer 4.0. I am working on the dash now and I am going to try to remove the dash harness and fuse block in one piece.

tugboat95
https://www.facebook.com/jeepjunkie/He had 5 Comanches on his lot last week and at least a dozen XJs. All have been picked over, but he has a habit of finding these things. Plus he strips them and stores the good stuff til he sells it. He ships world wide. Even has a pile of Wrangler parts waiting for a Marine to return from deployment to pick up. All he does is Jeep, in every form.89 ComancheEliminator2wd4.0L5 speed PukeGoatFactory Original
tugboat95
I might add, you'll have to email or message him thru Facebook. That's all he does.89 ComancheEliminator2wd4.0L5 speed PukeGoatFactory Original

silvertwinkiehobo
Yeah, the '87 box will work, and $35 is what I paid at the Pick n Nose last year for one that Joe and I ended up not using. If your rig has PW/PDL/AC, make sure you get the little inserts with the pigtail wire that allow you to hook up your accessories.
