Very rough idle and fuel leak on rail

plugs look darker already

Does the rotor lock onto the distributor? Not loose

Is possible the plugs are fouled out,  clean them up with a wire brush

Hard to tell if it’s seated right. Cleaned the plugs up no luck. Time For a new cap and or rotor?

Could be my imagination, but something looks wrong with the button in that cap.

 

Jesse, I would recommend you get a new cap and rotor. Make sure the contacts are brass instead of aluminum. Costs a few more $$ up front, but is usually worth it. I have used WVE with good success in the past. YMMV.

Ok I agree but that does sound like throwing parts at the problem

Ok well I pulled the spark plus and rotor to clean then and put them back on and it didn’t start this morning I go back out there to look at again and see I left the middle wire off the rotor and it fired right up
