jdog Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Does the rotor lock onto the distributor? Not loose Is possible the plugs are fouled out, clean them up with a wire brush
Jesse J Posted July 19, 2021 Author Posted July 19, 2021 Hard to tell if it’s seated right. Cleaned the plugs up no luck. Time For a new cap and or rotor?
JustEmptyEveryPocket Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Could be my imagination, but something looks wrong with the button in that cap. Jesse, I would recommend you get a new cap and rotor. Make sure the contacts are brass instead of aluminum. Costs a few more $$ up front, but is usually worth it. I have used WVE with good success in the past. YMMV.
Jesse J Posted July 19, 2021 Author Posted July 19, 2021 Ok I agree but that does sound like throwing parts at the problem
Jesse J Posted July 19, 2021 Author Posted July 19, 2021 Ok well I pulled the spark plus and rotor to clean then and put them back on and it didn’t start this morning I go back out there to look at again and see I left the middle wire off the rotor and it fired right up
