This vehicle was also built in Canada. Thanks again for your email. Sincerely, Jessica Senior Staff Representative Chrysler Customer Assistance Center i'm not sure what "your fill that is incorrect information" means, but they apologized for it? also, i guess VIN's cannot be trusted since my VIN starts with 1, indicating it was made in the good ol' US of A, because Jessica says it was made in Canada. LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW
They have re-used the codes over the years for other vehicals. That is why your info is off. If you search JF and use my username in your search you'll find the correct meaning to the codes from our era used on the XJ's. rockhardzj
build sheet for my mj has a formula one package and a v10 under the hood... I could only wish... :D I actually spoke with several people at Chryco, and found out that their system reuses codes older than 10 years, and replaces them with current vehicle info. one would think there would be a monkey smart enough to make some slight changes to the system to make the codes last much longer, or something, but they seem to just get rid of the old and go with the new. also, most parts for vehicles older than 25yrs old become discontinued, unless they are part of the classic/muscle/retro department. thats fairly straight forward though. dfreeman616
yea that's one thing to drop/reuse codes, but the really funny thing is that jessica from chryco couldn't just explain that. not to mention that she apologized that 'your fill that is incorrect information'
Eagle
Jessica wasn't apologizing. She meant she was sorry that you "feel" the information is incorrect. In other words, she was being condescending and saying "You idiot, I can't help it if you don't know what's in your vehicle. I ran it through my computer so I KNOW this is what you have. If you don't like it, tough cookies."
