Rickman
Here's a look at the front axle. I don't see a pumpkin or a 4x4 switch/shifter just the power/comfort switch on the dash. It's a 4.0 automatic Pioneer Therefore it looks like 2wd. Yes?

89 MJ
The bolt pattern on the Gladiator wheels is different (5x4.5 for the MJ, 5x5 for the JT, you can buy adapters though), and they are too big to fit in the wheel opening. You will need a minimum of 4.5 inches of lift to clear them (IIRC), but more to be able to flex it. Are you thinking about buying this MJ?
Jesse J
My truck has gladiator wheels on it. I am running spacers/adapters about 1'' (not by choice it's what came on my truck) they do have a very good stance. I am getting new tires and I am just going to get ones that will bolt directly to my hubs but with some more backspace.

Plus with the sea of XJs, it isn’t that hard to swap it into 4wheel drive.

Sure the JT(not tarnishing the original J-truck name) can carry your family or friends for the weekend trip but it has a lot more disadvantages when comparing it to a real Jeep truck. While the MJ is a single cab, you are getting a legendary engine/trans combo, more bed and simplistic reliability in one package. And an MJ this clean and this low of mileage is not a truck that you find laying around and what they are asking seems a tad high but within all the reason here.
