Battery gauge is very low

Recommended Posts

I noticed a month ago that my battery gauge was reading in the 10-11 range. I took it to les schwabs and had them test the battery and the alternator. They informed me both were good.

My battery is about 5 years old if I recall correctly.

On my drive to my daughters day care I saw that my gauge was now pegged in the red. I made the trip, came home and went to schwabs for some trailer tires. On the way my wipers were super slow. I parked and the radio died.

I tried to start it and the battery was toast. I had them check it and they said the battery needed replaced. I now have a new battery but my battery gauge is still pegged in the red.

Thoughts?
