What’s everyone found for a stock height, or close to it, leaf spring? Been putting in some time on google, and that leads to lift springs and all the goodies that come with it. Not looking to lift if I don’t need to, but the Comanche I picked up needs new leafs. Been using search here too, with no avail, so pardon me if I missed something obvious.

Unless they are broken, rusted through, or sagged real low you probably don't need new springs.

They’re rusted through. Completely sagged and dead. Just picked it up today, but the suspension is shot. No real way to repair them, that’s for sure.

Yeah. I need new springs. No question to it. Neither side is attached anymore due to good ole rust.

rust free ones still exist out there in junkyardland.  just need to find a southern/western 'yard that will ship. :D

I think all of us that have run the General Spring ones have netted quite a bit of lift. I ended up giving away my general spring 4 leaf pack because it gave me at least a 2.5” lift on my soa setup even after setting for months and under load. I got a really nice used set from a California junkyard and had them shipped to me by boat. Once I received them I disassembled the pack, cleaned, painted and greased them. Threw in new bushings too. If you need replacements I’d recommend you do something similar. I’ve really been wanting to go to sua and get rid of this soa the previous owner did. If I did, I’d sell you my springs.

I would recommend you try to find a spring shop near you. Give them the measurements and ratings you need and have it made. Will give you what you want and keeps business local. Not sure where you are located, but I am constantly surprised by what I can find out here in the middle of nowhere. Don't trust google, go walk into some auto shops and talk to the techs. They will probably know of "that one guy down the road a ways" who can do what you need.

 

Otherwise, car-part.com is a great resource for hard to find parts.

Absolutely agree, my father used to own a shop. They’re just so backed up that it would be January. Was hoping to sneak in a set to use and get ‘er on the roads yet this Summer.

Will do. I’ll be a poor reference being the current setup is just resting on the axle. Zero support.

I am a Big Supporter of the LOCAL Shops, to get the Larger and Heavier parts.

While there are several places, that may "Specialize" in parts.

In my effort to save the cash, I had contacted a Local Spring shop, to get a price quote. 

They told me, Straight out, they had the Factory Specs, and could make what I needed and any changes I wanted to make (Lift Adjustments), would Not be an Issue.

I  had asked for 1 ton Springs, with an additional 2" Lift, and got their Quote of $500. Was told that included new bushings and Axle Bolts.

I feel that it is very reasonable. Plus to be Supporting my Local economy.

Not to mention their Warranty, and Business Reputation.

I get the mantra, my dad was a shop owner before he passed, actually. The issue being around here in MI most shops were shut down for awhile, as well as right now they're having issues now that they're open with delays for the small jobs. Why do the small $500 job, when you can pump out the $10,000 job? That's just business if you ask me. Am I going to get some made locally? Absolutely. Do I need some to start testing this on the road currently before end of Summer and MI winters hit? Absolutely. 

 

This is just a bandaid fix to get it on the road and start diagnosing some of the issues I'll probably have.

Per the measurement method in Pete M's profile link, I netted about a 1.5" gain. Not too far off from what I needed. I can't complain for a temp run.

Absolutely. I would also like to state that was with an (almost) empty bed. I do have a toolbox in the back that's locked with all the spare parts I have to replace yet. ~150 pounds plus box weight, but didn't figure that would change much anyhow being that far up the box.
