I never understood buying anything without a title. Just seems like a bad idea. I might be biased my wife worked at the DMV for 10+ years and I have heard some horror stories.

It really truly depends on the state you are in. Some states are fairly easy and some states are practically impossible to get titles for non-titled vehicles.
