Pete M Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 The only reason not to is the cost. But if you can afford a heavy-duty SYE kit plus a new driveshaft, then by all means go for it. :D It's a good upgrade.

bpm4x4 Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 mine was $169 from Performance off road center, and it is the same as the AA one. There are very few companies actually "making" a sye kit, most of them are reboxed. (Mine was made in China or Japan)
DirtyComanche Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 The HD ones are so cheap now that's there's NO EXCUSE for getting a POS Hack'n'crap one. A driveshaft costs a bit. You can get a front driveshaft retubed/lengthened to get the job done. That's what mine is at least. I spent $120 on the retube, plus I provided a boneyard core ($30). Your prices will vary.
carnuck Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 I was going to put a NP208J in mine with a thick clocking ring (it's already fixed yoke and much stronger than a 231)
