As warren said they are pre OBD diagnostic connectors. Only three things can read the ECU. MS-1700, Snap on diag readers and Nickintimes REM scan tool.

how well do REM's work? do you think they will last?

They are pretty quality. Granted the cases are 3d printed but for what nickintimes is doing being a one man operation, it suffices. They do a pretty good job without spending a crap load of money on a snap on or hunting down an MS-1700. I'm pretty sure they will last as long as there are Renix Jeeps still on the road, like most of us.

Cool I visited his site the other day, would be nice to have rather than winging it all the time

You have a 2.5 don't you? what year? does it have the ISA motor on throttle body?

Yup! Every time I do an adjustment to the TPS it does something funky with my engine. I can't explain it but it doesn't run right like she should. So I have to whip out my AMC TBI book and readjust it to the specs in the book. So his scan tool always throws his "Check Engine" light saying the TPS is out of spec when it really isn't.

88 TBI Renix. Everything is still on and attached and works as it should when she left the factory.

I have an ISA motor exerciser tool that I don't have much use for, I modified it so you can test the nose switch as well. In case you know someone that would be intrested

You have piqued my interest in the tool. Doesn't it require the MS-1700 though?

no, it plugs into ISA and hooks to bat. two wires to run motor in and out and I added two wires to check nose or closed throttle swwitch

That's pretty neat! I'm surprised I haven't seen any of those tools floating around on the internet.
