For those who have a 4.0 stroker in their builds, do any of yall run an aftermarket ECU or did you get the stock one refreshed? I'm doing a 4.0 HO swap into my 86 after I build the motor and want to know the best way to do this correctly

Hey all, been doing a 96 4.0 HO swap into my 87 comanche. Been doing all my research and everything to make sure I do it right. Just wanted to know one thing, should I swap the break booster and everything from the 96 to the 87?

no clue how many gallons my tank is, I'm going to make a guess and say it's 16 gallons. where would you recommend I get the Carter P90011 kit?

I'm trying to find a fuel pump for my comanche because I am putting a 4.0 in it. Can I buy a sending unit and replace the one in my truck currently or would I need to buy a new housing and assembly as well as a pump or is there some sort of alternative?

i've been looking everywhere or one that isn't new preferably right now bc i'm on a bit of a budget. apparently here in central florida they are just about non existent

since the ax-15 manual transmission is so hard to find, what are some compatible 5 speed manuals for the 4.0 ho engine?

I'm at a bit of a loss. My comanche keeps draining the battery and I have no idea what could possibly be draining it. I figured it was the radio fuse or the dome light fuse so I took those out but it didn't seem to help. Is there anything I could possibly be missing that could be draining my battery?

the recipient is a, 86 comanche 2.5l 4cyl and the donor I plan to get a 97+ 4.0l cherokee

when doing an engine swap, would I be able to salvage the wiring harness from the donor vehicle? if not, does anyone know where I would be able to buy one?

I'm not sure. I don't think it's the relay because I'm not getting power anywhere in the jeep. should have made that a little more clear lol

just recently rebuilt the TBI on my 87 2.5l comanche and when I went to crank it, I wasnt getting any power. I know the battery is good because I took it from my daily and both terminals were properly tight. anyone know what my problem could be?

How easy would it be to go from a 2.5l to a 4.0 il6 in my comanche?

I forgot to add that it still has the bell housing and everything for the 4.3 and everything runs and works except the 4wd.

I was once told that I could use Dodge Dakota tail light covers on my comanche. Does anyone know if they would fit or if I would have to find tail light covers for a comanche?

I'm removing it so I can clean it. when I got the truck, it was in terrible condition and barely ran but since then I've gotten it to where it will run decently but not good enough.
