Bought this Comanche Sport Truck today. I didn't even know black interior was a thing and it appears to have a leather seat.

4 cylinder and a 4 speed

2wd

170k miles

Body is very straight. I'm digging it.

High on the list is steering components, headliner and tail lights. We'll see where this goes.

Oh my god did I throw away an accessory?! I had something like that and tossed it shortly after I got my truck.

Nice truck though! Welcome to the addiction.

It's kinda neat I might fix it. Probably not. Lol

Don’t forget to add it to the registry and check under the carpet for rust.

Beautiful truck!

I've already looked under the truck and its solid.  We don't have a ton of rust issues in Oregon. Barely any snow and they don't salt roads.

any mj can rust under the carpet because any mj can leak rain into the cab. :(  it's an all too common problem.

love that interior! :D

When I have the flooring out to insulate and carpet it I'll find out. But it's clean on the bottom side of the floor.

First Comanche upgrade. Had to fix the headliner so a quick trip to JoAnn Fabrics. Before it went in I figured why not throw some dynamat type stuff up there...8f4f7caa516d1935f12d98eb089b56be.jpge21dfd1a018d5a27e9f0effa8b305f7e.jpg28aa4df88edd6d6f55a113de33853d1a.jpg84b66546f155e6262cd16f1fcffa3ff4.jpgf334ad85cd2b668d954721ec28eff1c9.jpg234c999fef170d8b77e66f09244666d3.jpg129dfe0b854afd5a9b24fb42ea27edc2.jpged8143f6d542de58aef23ef7238e3ec8.jpg

Nice!  The damping material and headliner really make a huge difference to the feel of the truck while driving it.  (It took driving in a hailstorm without a headliner for me to prioritize it on my truck....couldn't even hear myself think >.<).

When I do the carpet I'm gonna do the floor and back of the cab. Should be major improvement.

Yarded out the old aftermarket cruise unit today.

Also a question. Is the AC having this jumper normal for the wiring normal?

Ok two questions. I'm pretty much making a hose work, but does anyone know a part # for the proper replacement here? It's a formed hose with a pretty tight bend and jumps from 5/8" to 3/4" right at the tstat housing.fe50823de4ec8c7d68dd7ab7c26fefed.jpg4bb585665358119dc8f7735aa6576418.jpg667a9be98bb993904d137ef44cc7ad9d.jpg2f9d60fce5a719a1fbc7279dd841045a.jpg

56004783- Mopar/AMC number(AMC number would have an 89 in front)
Weird, it says the interchange is a gates hose that looks completely different.

The Mopar OEM parts shows a photo that appears to be correct but it says doesn't fit my Jeep.

I looked at the Gates hose at a parts store yesterday. Definitely wouldn't work.ed36af0446b9eed06f7f7f80aab25b09.jpg49e326b8ff2e568874b9fc9a32b0dfaa.jpg

I would guess the gates hose is a cut to fit. It should be there correct diameter in each end. The aftermarket does this allot to fit multiple applications.

I think I found what's happening.

Here's a breakdown of the 87 2.5

Different part # but also...

Different tstat housing. Someone must've changed mine to a 4.0 housing. The port for that hose is supposed to point driver side. Mine points up.

The hose I need is

Mopar Part No.: 33002508

HOSE THERMOSTAT HOUSING TO INT

I agree with JMO. When I installed my AC I got a gates hose that went from the water pump to the heater valve and it was cut to fit and had the right bend in it to come from the water pump and go in-between the AC mount and cylinder head. Plus its extra length of hose to repair or replace any other worn out hoses.

Here's the solution.

Dayco 87631 fit perfect with the 4.0 housing on the 2.5

So bizarre you have a 4.0 T-stat housing. Hey it works.
I think the previous owner replaced a broken one. It's all sorts of shiny and new.
