Manche757 Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Plug to radio was cut off by prior owner. Will get a Jeep radio. Anyone have a wiring diagram showing color coded wires that went to radio in an 87 MJ, 4.0, 5 speed?

I don't have the '87 FSM to have definite wire colors. They should be the same as the radio, but without the FSM I can't say that for sure.

Jeep Driver Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 You will have- Ground Hot (acc) Memory (always hot). Dimmer wire (possibly) Typically- Black Red Yellow Blue/purple ? All of which can be verified with a test light in about 2 minutes. As for speaker wires...........wouldn't even bother, cut them out, run new. Ground your radio chassis.
