2.5 computer upgrade

Just picked up a 429 computer from the junkyard and was wondering if it will work for the 2.5. I could have sworn I saw it somewhere but can't seem to find the info again. Anyone know if it'll swap?

I don't see how it could, besides 4cyl vs 6 cyl the Renix 4.0l is MPFI and the Renix 2.5l is TBI.

 

Unless you found a 2.5l TBI 429 ECU, I'm not sure if they used that part number on the 2.5ls though, typically it's associated with the 4.0l.

91 and 92 are MPI.

91-92 are Chrysler MPFI so a Renix 428/429 ECU wouldn't be any good there either.

Got it! Took me a bit to figure it out tho..

 

And ah that sucks. For some reason I thought the computers could interchange.  Maybe I was thinking manual vs auto. Well now i guess I gotta swap to a 4.0 lol

Does anyone know if the 89 to 90 2.5 ecu offers the same benefits as the 4.0? Or is it strictly a 4.0 upgrade? And I'll be putting up the one I got for sale soon too

Do the CPS mod if you want a little more pep from the 2.5.
