I have access to a parts catalogue program that I can input VIN's into and it gives me a build date and sheet.

Its got a decent speaker system but there isnt any speakers behind the seat, just in the doors. When I bought it there was speaker wire going back there but it was cut, no speakers. eaglescout526 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Mono is the way to go! Oh wait, that applies to records. I don't think I've ran into a mono setup for a Comanche though. That's probably like that from the factory.

So that means the truck probably came with one of these: or the even more barebones AM-only version. All null and void if a stereo radio has been installed. They wired it for stereo anyway. The mono radio just happens to send the same signals to both speaker channels. Grounded-negative instead of balanced +/- too.

Gonna be dumb and just full send it to a 2.5L aw4 4x4 swap. $45 trans and transfercase thanks to some amazing comanche owner who wanted to help out, and a $250 front axle that better be as advertised (4.56) Gonna check this weekend... fingers crossed.
