Bolo_the_comanche Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 I have a 1986 comanche. 2.5L 4wd. I am doing a ‘93 XJ swap with a 4.0 straight six. I have completly rebuild the motor, tranny, custom radiator, new paint job, head lights, custom bumpers, 4.5” rough country lift kit, 33” mud claw tires, new interior, new steering wheel, and complete sound system.
MeanLemons Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Well damn. The bench look nice! does it ever come off the trailer though lol
Bolo_the_comanche Posted January 11, 2019 Author Posted January 11, 2019 Yes it’s off the trailer. Most of the pics are from right beofre it went to the shop for the motor swap. It’s been a major pain bc the 4.0 barely squeezed into the bay without radiator and fans and everything. So its taking some time but doing it right
Pete M Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 that's a hell of a transformation! all the kudos to you!
JMO413 Posted February 17, 2019 Posted February 17, 2019 That is one amazing transformation! I am so jealous of your interior. That bench seat is beautiful!
RangerDB Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 The bench seat looks fantastic. Amazing job on the build, I love red on a comanche!
HokieMJ Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Excellent work. What did you do on the floors? It looks like vinyl.
Swampy Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Question on the swap from 2.5 to 4.0. The driver side frame horn, did you have to do any welding or did it just bolt right up? Also what did you do about the radiator supports on the header panel?
