High temperatures in San Diego County Friday, July 6

 

Ramona, Ca  117 F

 

El Cajon, Ca 112 F  Where I live.  A/C kept house at 77 F, but garage is not climate controlled, so into mid 90's before noon. Lots of smoke at noon from the fire in Alpine.

 

Escondido, Ca 112 F  ComancheSS lives here.

 

Alpine, Ca 109 F plus a 600 acre brush fire.  Very bad news for the firefighters. Closed Interstate 8 for a short time. 5% contained this morning.

Meanwhile we had to send the plows out last weekend because of snow on the higher elevations. Hopefully everyone is managing to stay cool out there.

Down to mid 90's Yesterday and today. Actually did a little work outside on Saturday. Not much, but way better than Friday. Still, low temps are 72+. And humidity is up with tropical moisture.

Even Mt. Palomar, at 6100+ feet is low 90's today. 

Time to go to the beach, except no parking spots at all

Up in Escondido and Fallbrook we saw up to 115 at one point, had about 14 hours of pool time between the last two days!

I was working on my Comanche at my dad's house in Escondido all weekend. It was brutal.
