I always hoped he'd still be there the next time I made a road trip to the western U.S. I guess I waited too long, and that's my loss.

Jim was a great resource for the Comanche Club and he will be missed by all who knew him, whether in person or only through cyberspace.

Damn, RIP Jim. I wish I had the chance to meet him. I missed out at the recent meet n greet.

Please no one take this the wrong way: Jim used to say "When I die she's just gonna scrap all my cars." I think he was serious, and I also think he would not want that. Anyone know if he still had something at risk of being lost? I know he had sold a few vehicles but I don't know what he had these days.

the jeeps are long gone.  The opposite of Jim's prediction actually happened.  Jim sold them for cheap to some random guy that stopped by and asked about them.  Katie is the one mad about it.  :D

Sad news, had thought about him in the last year.  I always read his posts, especially if it was a thread on the pub he started, lots of wit but you could tell he was a very honest and down to earth guy.
