New Christmas song as you wrench away this weekend

This has absolutely nothing to do with MJs, so I put it the pub.   You can view this as shameless self-promotion or just a fellow member wishing to spread a little Christmas cheer to his Comanche pals.

Not tired of Christmas music yet?  My band just recently released our first Christmas song.  Go to this website and arrow down till you see the "Perfect Christmas" video.  www.hushharborband.com

I hope you guys get a bunch of MJ parts and accessories under your tree this year.  As for me, I dare not ask for MJ ANYTHING from my wife this Christmas.  I've already wore down our budget and her patience for truck-related expenses these past few Months.

Merry Christmas.

After some 34+ years in the 'church'................

My wife and I read the Book, from Gen 1:1 to Rev 22:21, like you would any other book, from beginning to end, twice. Took us 3 years.

Study the Hebrew, study history.

My family and I have not celebrated Christmas in 7 years now, for us, this is refreshing.

Setting aside everything you think you know, everything you were taught, your belief system, all your preconceived notions, and simply reading the words in front of you, it's the most difficult thing you'll ever do in this life.

Read the Book.

I’ve read the Bible.  Our church reads through the Bible each year.  I haven’t read anything that would make me doubt my belief in Christ or stop celebrating His birth.

I'm not engaging you, just stating a few facts.

After this post I'll say nothing further here, this is not the place, this type of discussion leads nowhere and is generally not tolerated.

That said.......

There are three birthdays mentioned in the bible, deaths occurred on all three-

Story of Joeseph, chief baker was hanged on Pharaoh's birthday, Genesis.

John the Baptist beheaded, Herod's birthday, Mark.

Job lost his entire family, firstborn son's Feast (birthday), Job.

Doing the homework, Jesus would have been born in the second week of September.

Matthew and Luke differ as to the year.

Dec 25 is closely tied to winter solstice, the 25th was chosen for the return of the Sun/Son, several days after the actual solstice celebration. Winter solstice this year is on the 22nd.  Look up Saturnalia for yourself.

Christmas is a Catholic/Roman/pagan construct. Hence the name, Christ-mass.

I'm thoroughly convinced the man never existed (Jesus), however, according to John, see John 10:22, Jesus kept the Festival of Dedication (Hanukkah). So, if anything, you should be celebrating Hanukkah.

Hanukkah is not commanded, there is no Temple (yet), but we celebrated this year for the first time, just for fun.

Lastly, in all my years in the christian church, multiple denominations, including 18 months in the Catholic church, reading of the Tanakh (OT) was not encouraged, it was discouraged. The Christian bible cannot be understood without first reading the Hebrew bible, and they know it.
