I'm a big Justin Verlander fan. He done good with our losing Tigers. Would like to see him finally get a WS ring. Hope he helps the Astros go all the way. I think he'll pitch game 6 in LA.

EDIT: My brother lives in LA. He might not think the same way I do.

I like Verlander a lot too in spite of the fact he usually beats up on my Red Sox quite often.   :D  He's a class act. I always go with the American league team in the Series, doubly so this year since it's against LA. Hopefully he can close it out in game 6 if Houston can get it done tonight.

Oh-oh, bottom of the sixth and the Dodgers are starting to knock Verlander around a bit, 2-1 Dodgers. But no worries Cruiser. Your boy Bellinger struck out to end the inning.  :D

I don't expect Verlander back in for the seventh.

EDIT: Not Verlander's best outing tonight, Dodgers win 3-1. But that's okay, we got a game seven final tomorrow. This does happen often.

The pressure both starters will face in a World Series game seven has got to be huge. More so I think for the visiting team's pitcher.  I wouldn't be surprised to see both Verlander and Kershaw make bail-out appearances at some point..

I can't imagine the pressure... it's essentially everything they've worked for their entire careers crammed into 2-3 hours of what they will be remembered for... I'm a Nationals fan and they pulled all the stops to stay in it against the Cubs, even having Scherzer come in as a reliever so I'm sure both coaches have told their staff, "everyone's available".

Quick 2017 World Series game 7 summary:

Houston punches LA in the mouth by scoring five runs in the first two innings.
LA chokes and dies the rest of the game. In their own ballpark. Pitiful.

Congrats to Houston for their first ever World Series win.

Morton was a machine in closing it out for Houston. Great game where LA seemed to always be threatening to get back in it. Most 5-1 games are far less interesting than this one was. Great game, great win for a city that needs a good celebration.

There was great pitching equally by both teams after the second inning. The rest of the game was basically a pitching shutout except for the lone LA run. It was a poor management decision IMO by Roberts to start Darvish after his abysmal showing in game three. I think there will be some changes made in the off-season for the Dodgers.
