zomeizter
So, I received a free, running 5.2L Magnum off a 2000 Ram pick up and it will be installed in my MJ in the near future. I am wondering what my options are for transmissions on this swap, I really want to keep it manual since I'm not a fan of slush boxes. Did AX15s get mated to these engines? If so, which vehicles? Pete M
if I remember right, the dakota could be had with a 5.2 and manual trans. don't know what the trans was though.
Pete M
I'd wager the later years used the 3500.
MeanLemons
5.2's definitely didn't get ax15's
gogmorgo
That generation Ram had NV3500 and 4500's in them, light vs heavy duty. I'd ASSume at least one of them went behind a 318/5.

carnuck
I had a '90 Ramcharger with 5.2 and 5 speed (it had a dead TBI system that I switched for Carter AFB) They have NP208 tcase mounted reverse (mirror image) to full size '80+ Jeep Jtruck ones with std trans. The starter is mounted opposite side of the front driveshaft to avoid smacking it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
