moparbrown
The wife spotted this 91 at a dealership in junction city Kansas. Called the guy and he was willing to trade my 07 charger straight across. Drove over 5 hours each way to pick it up. This is the first pic! It ran out of gas on the test drive but it only took half a test drive to fall in love with this turd. 91 4.0 Manual 2X4 Shortbed with 225k St. Louis MO

moparbrown
Slowly upgrading. Brakes all around, test fit new wheels and tires size. Need to paint the wheels and get new tires before winter. Pretty set on Falken Wildpeak A/T. Hopefully a small lift and some paint soon. 91 4.0 Manual 2X4 Shortbed with 225k St. Louis MO
DirtyComanche
Did you do Cruiser54's mod to that valve cover while you had it off?

moparbrown
Did you do Cruiser54's mod to that valve cover while you had it off? The one pictured is a junkyard spare- I am doing the mod and painting it before I install. I did have a lot of oil in the air filter so I’m hoping that will help.91 4.0 Manual 2X4 Shortbed with 225k St. Louis MO

It seems to cut down on the amount of oil that gets vented into the air filter. I say seems to, I don't have enough first hand data at this point. HOrnbrod
I didn't cut them, and have zero oil in the filter. Going to the 94 and up CCV system with the larger hoses and keeping the vent towers intact as originally designed made better sense to me.
moparbrown
I have the best wife. Got new tires for my birthday. She surprised me with them, even had them mounted before I got home from work. Feel lucky she let me buy a project. 91 4.0 Manual 2X4 Shortbed with 225k St. Louis MO
87Warrior
You are moving along quite nicely with this truck. I am glad I get to watch the build. ...and you are a lucky man having a wife who not only let you get a project, but is an enabler herself with those tires! I got lucky and married the daughter of a 4x4 guy, she even got me a D44 for christmas one year. Do NOT let that kinda wife go; and be sure to shower her with gifts and affection! ps. Digging the build, its looking good! I like the 10-hole rims in black.

moparbrown
Did some more work this weekend. Refreshed some grounds from Cruiser’s tips and fixed my headlights. DIY write up here - https://comancheclub.com/topic/57308-headlights-not-working-solution/ Still trying to chase down a steady oil leak and figure out if this red wire is for my running lights/amber? Its the harness behind the drivers headlight by the air box. Problems for another day.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I will add them in the tech forum- thanks!
