What line is it, anyway?

Noticed the other day that this line was hanging down from my truck. I traced it to the rear of the AW4/t-case area. Cannot seem to find where it belongs to. Can anyone help me out?

T case vent I think. Connects to the top of the transfer case.

Tex is correct, it is the Tcase vent tube.

 

It bolts up toward the top of the bell housing or somewhere up higher in the engine bay.  It allows the tcase to vent without pulling back in water.

 

If your trans was recently out, the line was not properly connected when it was reinstalled.

It goes under a non-critical bellhousing bolt, I can see you have them in the picture...  I think on the other side though.  None of my stuff is set up like that though.

I extended mine and ran it up into the engine bay.  I ziptied it to the C101 bracket.
