Flavio
I bought a 89 jeep Comanche but the motor has been swapped to a 95 cherokee engine the guy switched all the electrical harnesses and now if its not one thing its another i have been having issues with the lights windshield whispers and horn i was wondering if this could because he did not swap out the fuse panel and left the old one in? Guest harrycallum
These are such electrical issues which can be resolved by car mechanic and not by an electrician.

Pete M
yes, but which is more strange... the fact that someone thought we could diagnose a hacked up wire harness over the internet or that a 1 post member responded to a 1 post member from 2 years ago and included a weird embedded google maps link. Green Mesa XJ
I once helped moderate a forum, we had bot attacks like this. Moderators were added and asked to help police them. While most bots picked popular on going topics if admin didn’t purge old threads necromancerbots would resurrect dead threads.Weird thing is some bots were sophisticated enough to pick upload their own avatars generally acting like a new member. Even this bot today from a moderators prospective its hard know without seeing ip and email address used to register that’s a bot. Of course our bot linked a map for the server farm in Croatia where it lives. But usually if they can go unnoticed they wait to change all their signatures, posts, and publicly displayed information quietly spamming, or sleeper account activate all at once for spam attacks. Pete M
yeah, bots are fascinating creatures. I almost want to trap it in a small glass container and see what it does next. our anti-bot software is near 100% with preventing them from ever getting this far. Flavio
Years later still own the truck fixed most the issues. Headlights give me issues every once and awhile plan on actually tackling next week. Also found a parasitic draw. Windshield wipers needed a new module and the horn just needed to be replaced.
pizzaman09
Have you gone an made sure all the grounds are good?
gogmorgo
What issues do the headlights give you? The switch and pigtail for it are common issues, as the switch contacts wear they make poor connections and then it likes to get HOT, like, set your truck on fire hot, which melts the connector and insulation on the wires which causes other problems. You can alleviate most of that concern with a relay harness, but you may still find you need a new switch. Another common culprit if you live in a place that experiences winter is the 10-pin connector for the headlight harness that lives under the airbox likes to fill up with moisture and corrode. Flavio
My lights like to flash every now and then. Ya I was going to check that connection it was next on my list. I replaced one pigtail ground was no good. The flashing isn’t the alternator either. I have replaced the switch. As for parasitic draw I narrowed down the circuit but I think it could have to do with some random house wiring the previous owner put in for the brake lights. Battery dies after like 5ish days so it never really bothered me to dig deeper. Edited September 25 by Flavio
