dfreeman616 Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 not sure how i like the two tone, never been a big fan...but it's better than the old paint job  but then, i don't really have room to comment on looks right now :D
1999MJ Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I think it looks real sharp. Will loke even better with the pinstriping. Nice Job
87manche Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I especially like the painted turbines :D as do I, I think mine are gonna get that treatment.
JeeperjohnfromPA Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 I like it! I think the two tone colors Rock. Nice job!
Wildman Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Totally agree with the 2-tone paint job :D I picked up a '87 with the blue/silver and it's starting to grow on me, I like the looks of it, really accents the body lines of the MJ. Nice job Mike
mike Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 thanks guys, this is the first paint job i've ever done myself.
beaterjeep Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 It does look real nice. I have to agree it should look better with the stripes on it. Now I'm almost embarassed to post pics of how my 86 looks, for fear that some people will think I copied a few ideas from people.

To help, inspire, share ideas and chat with fellow jeepers without the worry of getting flamed. When my MJ is done, the ideas and suggestions of a lot of people from this board will be in there. :brows: Mike, the two tone looks great. Was looking at going that route but the son has different plans.
beaterjeep Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Thanks mfpdm. I needed that. As for the ideas I put into mine, well let's just say that one of them is on the hood. Which I now know will work out nicely. Again, beautiful truck mike, and being a first time paint job for you, it turned out great.
