New Intake

I want to get rid of the stock air box so i can get some more room in my engine bay, whats the best way? Any good cold air intakes, or just something simple? thanks. links would be awesome

I'm planning to just do a cone filter. And another good way to clean up the engine bay is to swap to a 97+ wiper fluid bottle that goes in the fender :D

Anything else besides a cowl intake is generally a hot air intake.

This is the cowl intake. is go to the fire wall. I used this one with a alter end not going to firewall but to a scoop on the hood, So you get true cold air and a little forced air the faster you go.

Haven't done it yet, but I'm sure it will add a lot of room.

This is the one I went with. The box that surrounds the filter will need a little tweaking to make it work. For 150$ and half the cost of a k&n you can't go wrong IMO. When its time to clean the filter that comes with it I am going to get a dry filter.

Those Spectre cowl intakes are NLA and have been for some time.............

yes they are bolt on. you can get the piece by piece now to build it. the kits are no longer made. However it shows you how you can do a tubed cone and go to the firewall, or a snorkel or a scoop like I did.  You can still find all the pieces but sold as each.
