Hippie66 Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I know on the 4.0 HO, you use Ford 5.0 injectors, did that on my old XJ. Any upgrades for an '89 Renix 4.0?
cruiser54 Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Awesome, thanks. http://cruiser54.com/?p=438
cruiser54 Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Already have some purchased, thanks. I'm not selling them. Just wanted to give some more info.

Mattman6 Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Awesome upgrade on my Renix! Saw an immediate difference when I switched over.
Hippie66 Posted December 10, 2016 Author Posted December 10, 2016 My $67 set is out for delivery. Hopefully install them tomorrow.
Hippie66 Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 Oh yeah, running much smoother. Easy upgrade.
Hippie66 Posted December 15, 2016 Author Posted December 15, 2016 First full tank after installing the 746 injectors, right at 16 mpg average. This includes letting the truck idle to warm up for approx. 1 hour over the past 4 mornings. '89 4.0, AX-15 swapped, 2 wd, 31/10.50-15 AT tires.

Hippie66 Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 Yes, very pleased so far. Easily pulls hills in 4th that required 3rd before. Some hills on the highway used to drop to 65 mph, now pull easily at 80.
gogmorgo Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 I'm going to suggest you're wasting fuel letting it warm up for that long. But to each their own.
